Yes it is possible. In fact it is the only scenario where 2 simultaneous outputs are allowedHello,
if anyone had the answer, I would like to know before purchasing this dac, if it is possible to use the XLR and RCA outputs at the same time?
I use a nuForce STA9 amp as my amplifier, and I also have a Jamo subwoofer. For the moment for my PC Desktop use, I use a Dac Topping DX7s connected via RCA to the power amp and via XLR to the subwoofer (the opposite would have been better but I did not have the right lengths of cables during installation, and I think that Atlas RCAs are anyway better than oem XLRs at 8eur...). Previously I used a TEAC NT503 which did not allow me to have both outputs at the same time. It's only that point that could prevent this acquisition (and the lack of headphone amplification, it's a shame...)
Thanks in advance !
BTW has anyone noticed that if you select XLR+RCA output, it sounds louder (and I think that better too) than selecting only RCA?
