Hello,
if anyone had the answer, I would like to know before purchasing this dac, if it is possible to use the XLR and RCA outputs at the same time?
I use a nuForce STA9 amp as my amplifier, and I also have a Jamo subwoofer. For the moment for my PC Desktop use, I use a Dac Topping DX7s connected via RCA to the power amp and via XLR to the subwoofer (the opposite would have been better but I did not have the right lengths of cables during installation, and I think that Atlas RCAs are anyway better than oem XLRs at 8eur...). Previously I used a TEAC NT503 which did not allow me to have both outputs at the same time. It's only that point that could prevent this acquisition (and the lack of headphone amplification, it's a shame...)
Thanks in advance !
Yes it is possible. In fact it is the only scenario where 2 simultaneous outputs are allowed

BTW has anyone noticed that if you select XLR+RCA output, it sounds louder (and I think that better too) than selecting only RCA?

\o/ Thanks for the answer !
For the headphone amplification part, I will perhaps reinject SPDIF to my former Teac NT503, and use the topping for another setup.

Louder usually sounds better.
I will measure the output spec says 2.6 and 5.2v for balanced.

I mean I use only the RCA outputs to my power amp, I am not using the physical XLR outputs, but if I select XLR+RCA, I get louder (maybe fuller?) sound from RCA

I have tried more. It happens the first time that you switch from RCA to XLR/RCA, it gets louder. But if I switch back to RCA and then to XLR/RCA, then there is almost no difference

Each output mode has its own volume setting. When you switch to a new mode, it will recall whatever volume setting it had, if you switch back it will go to back to where it was originally.

@mirror Good afternoon, is it possible to fix in a future firmware the lack of understanding of the Cyrillic alphabet in the files?

Have you by a chance tried to save the tags in UTF-8 encoding? Other encodings/code pages could cause problems when a non-Latin text is being saved. Right now I have no access to the device, but don't remind of any Cyrillic-related issues, it might be because all mine are in UTF-8 already.

I may agree, of course; but are you sure you are writing Cyrillic in UTF-8, and not using one of its specific codepages, such as the 886, or 1251? It can make a huge difference.

Good afternoon! Why are album covers from the internal ssd storage loaded anew every time?

Does anyone know if Eversolo have any plans to make Apple Music native?

Huge improvement for Amazon Music to go from sideloaded on Android web app, to native integration. Hoping to see the same with Apple Music.

I may be wrong, but I think that only Sonos can do that... Apple not happy me and you implement apple-music wherever we like.

I'm pretty sure that is up to Apple. I don't think it will happen anytime soon.

Apple and Sonos have a pre-existing partnership/business relationship. They were Apple's first partner to include Spatial Audio in there products.
