If the ‘Arce’ ( can’t help but find that rather unfortunate nomenclature) has bit perfect output , through the same dac they will be identical.

Unless the dac in the ARCE is broken there is going to very little if any difference, you shouldn’t believe the marketing look at the measurements, they do not lie.

Well, ARCE is a digital transport and streamer, no analog out. It's all depends on external DAC. Thus no difference between A6 and ARCE digitally. Nevertheless, will see what the next video about ...

Nice. I love Idagio's automatic track selection. Way better than anyone else's, for classical.

Just need loudness contour (a guy can dream) and Chromecast capability.

That would need a Google account, something that the DMP-A6 does not have, as it does not run on a normal/full Android OS

Chromecast capability is implemented in te Wiim Pro without having a full Android OS. However I guess you need an hardware implementation that is likely absent in the Eversolo streamer.

damn - I was thinking of the sender device ..
If I am reading correctly, it might be possible to add the receiver capability (at least for an Audio device) via a firmware update

I think it's more a matter of implementing the code and paying a license fee to Google...yes, could probably be done by firmware. Cambridge streamers have it, as well as Wiim.

I reset my DMP-A6 to factory settings and the only apps there are: CD, installation assistant, and update. Firmware 1.1.80

Weird that Denafrips’ Vinshine Audio has been doing videos and articles about Eversolo DMP-A6, especially when they’ve just released their own streamer, ARCE.

Now they’ve worked with LHY Audio to develop linear power supply specifically for the DMP-A6. Of course there’s a business opportunity here, but still seems like they’re focusing too much to a competitor’s product.
