Setup an IR Remote, either by teaching your NODE ICON to work with one of your old remotes or by using the Bluesound RC1 remote which works out-of-box.

Hi All,

Not sure if many people have the Icon yet. I just received mine, it's my first BlueSound device. I cannot get anything to display on the screen. It's possible that I am doing something wrong, but wondered if anyone with an Icon had had a similar issue?

I have tried playing music from both Roon and Qobuz via the BlueOs app, but the screen just remains completely blank. The music plays perfectly.

Appreciate any help.

Yep, tried both of those. I think it's defective as on first startup it never showed the QR code for the app download, and has never shown anything since, other than the backlight. I've submitted an exchange request to Crutchfield. Annoying as audio plays perfectly, but the album art was the reason I purchased it .

did u try Apple Music on Airplay? The art work display works on my unit

Yep, I called the Crutchfield technical support, went over what I had tried, we concluded it was defective, it’s on it way back to Crutchfield now for an exchange

It has clock display when idle on an functioning unit. For me I want an option to turn off screen or go into clock mode after a while when playing. As a screen saver. Received mine on thursday and can say that it to me sounds good, but some different nuances to the Wiim Ultra and Eversolo DMP-A6 ME/LHY that I also have. But no serious A-B blindtesting has been held. Some softwareimplementations is better on the Eversolo and Wiim as of now. Bought the Bluesound for Dirac possibillities when that arrives in a software update. More tweaking in settings with the Wiim and Eversolo avaliable at the moment. Which is best for you...the one that fit's your budget and needs. They all sound good.
