Bluesound Node Icon (Quick User Measurements)

Or just seeing measurements.

Also I can't take a company seriously when there is conflicting info within a webpage:
"bringing it very close to the level of network streamers costing twice as much"
vs
"reaches sound quality levels that surpass network streamers at twice the cost"

Which is it? Close to, or better than??

Also, the instruction manual attached links to that of a different product.

This screams snake oil to me.

But I realize you may have posted the link so ppl could see the internals of the Icon, rather than promoting the upgrade product.

Oops. Fixed.

You’re welcome. Here's an analog recording of the XLR output for those who want to use Dirac to apply EQ as opposed to room correction (since the headphone out applies Dirac)
@GXAlan I finally found time to mess with this today. This project file was created with the sub disabled (which makes sense, because enabling the sub activates a high pass for the output, which you do not want). I think that fact makes the project not useful for people who use a sub because when I load the file in Dirac, it tells me I need to switch from 2.1 to 2.0 (sub enabled vs not) configuration to open the project file. Is there a workaround for this??

That’s a good point.

I will need to run a sweep where I trick the L and R and sub output all into the mono left channel of the E1DA Cosmos ADC.

I think I need to use all RCA output since the differential voltage of the XLR isn’t louder, since the gain should be accounted for, right?

You could use a Y RCA and collect the sub out and RCA out into a single channel. But ya that working or not is dependent on if the voltage is the same.

I wonder if there is some way to convert a 2.0 project file to 2.1 (maybe Dirac customer support could do that).

Are there other ways to turn Dirac into a simple EQ module that don't require a mic measurement??

At wich side from the power inlet should be the + and - looking at the rear from the icon?
