Ironically, the sound is terrible
I would post some screenshots, but I stopped using ASIO (it offers no benefit for simple music playback), so i'm not using this setup anymore.

Basically, Voicemeeter is a digital mixer. It has inputs and outputs. The inputs and outputs are connected to a 'bus' which is used to control which inputs connect to what outputs. When eAPO is also connected to this bus, eAPO can process any data that is placed on the bus and then return it to the bus for onwards routing to one or more outputs.

VB+EAPO+Peace problems
I have a Topping EX5 DAC. I can play music files (Flac, DSD, and Streaming [Qobuz]) from Audirvana to EX5 to Stereo Receiver & Speakers. I installed VB + VB Cable + EAPO + Peace. In VB, set A1 to "Topping USB Audio Device" and Hardware Input 2 to "WDM: Virtual Audio Cable". In EAPO Configuator...
