Yamaha ATS-1080 firmware, how confirm?

I'm helping an old neighbor set up a Yamaha ATS-1080 for his TV.
I followed the firmware update exactly as instructed by the install instruction page using a USB drive, etc. but, I cannot see in the HT Controller app if it was updated or not (I think not). How can you tell if it took? Any tips to get this bar updated would be appreciated.

The firmware version can be displayed on the front panel of the sound bar. To view the firmware version, you need to press and hold the power button for five seconds. The firmware version *should* then be displayed on the screen.
