There are some legit use cases where isolators work, as shown below.

I don't know why Topping and the like haven't made a digital hub/switch that routes multiple USB and SPDIF inputs to a single USB output, with per-input settings such as UAC control. That would be extremely useful for some.

It was already alarming using (selectable) filters that mimic tube and SS distortion in one of their devices

Most users will not need it but it could be a solution to get around earth loop issues. Another use could be to reduce the load on a computer by plugging in a 5V PSU into the USB C port. The RPI sometimes have problems supplying enough power for a small display, USB3 HDD and a DAC.
No it could be very useful.

The HS01 was able to solve one of my own audible noise problems (laptop plugged in another circuit and DAC+speakers in another) so it can be quite a handy tool to have in one’s audio toolbox.
How is it you get everything wrong, every time you post?
USB isolators are a viable solution to noise created by ground loops. Assuming this works correctly it will be useful in those circumstances.
