Other than Shania - there's a lot of agree to disagree here... Especially considering the ask of beautiful (impossible to define, but I assume "remarkably melodic" might satisy) and famous.

I agree. There are so many interpretations and styles that the request is veryyy wide ranging.

The 1980s was when music broke into a number of incompatible sub-genres. There was a lot going on, so much that most people didn't hear a lot of the music that came out.

I was a hard rockin metal head in the 80s so all this pOp music for me was new when I started listening to what I missed out on @ ~2010.
