LOL am sure am not enough of a market for what I want. We have somewhat, altho expensive, connectivity these days. Would only take a short move from where I am to get into no reception territory, it surrounds our town for quite a ways.
The closest town (has a [1]) traffic light (so I guess that it is a town) is a 40 minute drive if all goes well. The way to my place is a 2 track wagon trail from 100+ years ago after you leave the dirt road. My 2" lifted all wheel drive 2024 Subaru CrossTrek can make it, anything less, probably not.

We have one traffic light! Not much else in the county out our way tho. We have a lot of trails and roads to rip, tho....

Sounds like it's close to my kind of place. I fish off of my deck & hunt in the woods.
No Harley's unless they have been transmuted into scramblers or something along those lines.

Generally I'm more of the Fuck Harleys, what useless bikes those generally are....such poor performance.

I find most of the Harley owners funny: I don't ride in the rain, I don't ride in the snow, If a speck of dirt gets on it, I have an apoplectic fit.
These folks drive those type of people nuts. Probably why I like them.

Off road, high torque is nice in my experience (not a bike owner these days & never had a Harley), but, off road & on I was usually on a Honda.
Obviously, road bikes are not something that I had many of (& only due to the deal & resell-ability).

To me you strike me as a big bore 2 stroke sort of dood. Like maybe a 250 or a 400'ish. Lots of power in the dirt and incredible torque curve.

Mostly I object to the poor performance and excessive noise and the idiocy of the group rides....\

I have an e-moto where torque is far beyond most of the old bikes from Harley and others can provide...

I can go along with that.
I am a lone wolf kind of guy on my rides (perhaps one or 2 others with me on rare occasions. Any rides having to do with cities are just to dangerous for me.
I have several friends who have, like me, been riding since we were 12 (women, too) that have given up any street riding around here. Hawaii & Saipan are also no go's for street riding for us.

Is it off roadable & can you take it when you don't have electricity more than enough for a tent operation for days. If the answer to either one of those is no...

It is a dirt bike rather than street bike to start but often need to make "adjustments" (aka upgrades :) ). I tried to just do the basic Surron lbx but am in the last stages of some much more significant upgrades.....couldn't resist :)

It's hard to resist upgrades, no matter the mode of operation.
A friend has an old 72, maybe, Honda 450 scrambler that we put 50 CAL. ammo cases on each side with solar panels on the tops, wired with charging battery packs inside (also tide into the charging side of the bikes electricals so that he could get & have a bit of power for various things that he likes to have that can run on or charge from USB power.
This is a day trip type setup, although it could potentially be an overnighter.

Aren't there some Harley Christmas songs out there? I heard that Harley's have a vast array of stuff...
But it is a little early to get that far down the alphabet off topic.

Now we've come full circle... thread drift and now relating the two topics, bwahahaha.

Thanks, I was not able to think of a good way to get us back on track.
(the cruddy HIGH end restaurant [we celebrated a friend getting her citizenship] we went to tonight befuddled my brain with a $404 bill {not including tip} for 6 people).
And they had to be reminded about 2 entrees that had been ordered that they forgot to bring out (the waitress had to look at what she had written down & said "Oh, that's right, you did order those two items". Sure enough, she was back with them in moments, as the cooking crew had cooked them but the waitress had forgotten them.
It's past my bedtime here!
G'night everyone.
Enjoy the craziness of the "commercial" radio Christmas songs:

No issues with non-stop christmas music on the stations I listen to. One or two will do it on xmas eve, but that's usually the extent. Any station that would play xmas songs non-stop through half of December is not a station I would ever have in my presets.
