Songs with Epic Dynamic Progressions - Calm & Beautiful to Intense

Okay everyone,

thank you all so much! There are defintely some new gems for me in here.

I think I will sink my teeth more into Post Rock thanks to @napfkuchen. Didn't know this Genre, or at least I could never find the category for it. The New Arcades song you posted is really great! Really remind me of the band "The Midnight" which I adore.

Also I'll try to browse all the songs of Nils Frahm, Rob Hopkins(@Somafunk great post!), We Lost The Sea & Mono (@goat76).

All the others, thank you for your contributions too! It's always nice to see people recommending music they like. Even if I have to admit that songs + 10 minutes are not for my young brain that is conditioned by short attention span media. Sorry! Also, "old school rock" is just not my cup of tea it seems.

But please don't let that stop you from posting. I will keep looking into that thread!

Of course, a suggestion from me that fits the bill and may very well serve for further suggestion, if I may be so egoistic and bold :).

Incredible tension in this one. "Post"-Metal, i guess.

Ok, so I'll only mention the titles :-)
  • Deep Purple - Child in time
  • Iron Maiden - Afraid to Shoot Strangers, Fear of the Dark (maybe the first 30s needs to be skipped to fulfill the criteria)
  • Metallica - Nothing Else Matters, Fade to Black
  • Guns'N'Roses - November Rain

Carl Orff - O Fortuna, a classical piece, though I like Therion's version (also may need to skip the first 20s to fulfill the criteria):

and from the same album, "Ship of Luna":

And this one is the first what came to my mind when I saw the thread's title, "Michał Lorenz - Taniec Eleny":

The above was polish instrumental song from a soundtrack, so to go even more obscure, some polish songs with vocals :-)
Tadeusz Woźniak - Zegarmistrz światła

Brathanki - Heniek

Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, Capriccio Espagnole by Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra.
Op.34 -4. Scena e canto gitano and Op.34 -5. Fandango asturiano

Can't find this version on YT but it looks like this:
Maybe these:

Joe Jackson: Heart of Ice (1984) - my first rock/pop CD. Wonderful climax if your system can handle the peaks. The original dynamic on the CD is higher than on youtube.
