Sabaj A20d 2022 Version Owners Feedback

Can anyone say me if the remote control is needed to turn on/off the unit?

Only came here to tell you that if anyone is looking for newest drivers for Sabaj A20d 2022 version you can download drivers for SMSL devices and right now you cen get XMOS 5.58 version and this installs a driver from May 2023 at least for Windows 10 and its significantly newer than XMOS 5.50 which you can get from Sabaj site.
Hopefully some of you can find this useful, peace !

Hello everyone,

I have had this unit for slightly more than a year and was happy with it until recently when some static noise started coming out from my headphones over music playing until it’s happening by itself, louder and louder. So much that sometimes when I forget to turn off unit, I’m being reminded that I did just by passing outside my study room and hearing all that loud, static/creeky noises. Usually first 30mins/1h after switching on is fine until it’s going sour. Usually i am web browsing/Youtubing while I listen to music.

My source is a PC connected trough USB. I have already installed latest Xmos drivers. Using Apple Music for PC (still in beta I think) where I can have higher bitrate streamed into the DAC. Could switching between Apple Music and YouTube while browsing cause hiccups turning into mayhem gradually ? If so, is it “normal” operation from a modern DAC?

Thank you !

My unit started doing the same from the xlr output some month ago, I contacted [email protected], I shipped the unit to them in china at my expenses and they repaired the unit for free (I was still inside the warranty period).
I suggest you to send an email to that address.

Thanks for the heads up, Guara. Just sent her an e-mail!

I'm not hearing anything on either of those videos.
The videos are muted by default. You'd need to unmute them here:

Please let me know if these work for you.
Yep they are working fine. Your expletive sounds appropriate. Hopefully you've already disconnected the amp from your speakers.

FYI, my unit came back to me and has been working well for about a week. Should be the same for you gorb!

Hello, please, I have an important question for me: I am going to purchase this DAC and I will need a long USB cable, what type of cable should I buy: USB-2 or USB-3? (I use many DSD files up to and including DSD512)
