I don't understand the pricing...

The Luxman D-03X is available in the UK from this month, priced £3500. The player is already available in the US for $3295.

Some of that is VAT which isn't included on the US price. Not sure otherwise.

Price is good. I’ll keep however my dCS Rossini CD Player/DAC. I doubt anything can touch it considering it’s price (about $40,000).

I would love to see what that is about. I'm guessing linear motor with no gear drives. :D

Well the CD's motion is rotational tho...

What if we took the linear motor and rolled it into a circle. I shall call it... the brushless motor. Oh wait...

In the world of high end dedicated CD transports, many would consider the $3500 price tag of this thing a “bargain”

Not sure if this something to be praised or not... I think I’d rather buy an old Mark Levinson transport if I was so inclined to spend a couple thousand on one.

The sled motor is most likely a linear motor. That's what I meant. :D
