New Neumann MA 1 - Automatic Monitor Alignment

I'll have to check it out when there's some free time. The issue also involved the KH 750 levels as well, maybe it was covered in that (or it could have been that the multichannel system doesn't support that routing atm).
Was considering using the MA 1 multichannel to align all monitors and two subs (every channel plugged in directly), and then doing the bass management afterwards in RME Totalmix. Has anybody tried this? I'm guessing (hoping) the results should be similar to using the bass management in the 750s, while allowing easy switch between stereo and surround. This is so far my best guess at working around the lack of a DSP multichannel sub.

Yes, if you activate the preview feature "Use mono system layout":
LCR (3.0) is not supported, so it won´t work with or without multichannel license. You´ll have to calibrate two setups, a) center as mono and b) LR as stereo system.
Does anyone know if the latest software version has addressed the KH750's fixed crossover freq limitation when in network mode? It's really limiting the system in my room, which would greatly benefit from a higher crossover point.

I have no idea why I typed local mode… I meant network mode. Thanks for catching that.

I'm sure they have the Knowhow and this would set them apart in the Pro industry and show the quality of their MA1 system. They marketing way to less about their measurement system, in my opinion MA1 and Dirac are the best systems on the market (and Trinnov of course but you need an extra processor for that).

But Neumann still has no integrated multichannel Bass Management. You have to provide that by external means (PC or AVR/P). Genelec has a clear edge on that at this moment.Next version they just need to implement a low frequency cancellation system with these 8 subs

Yes - they are very slow with their software
I always laughed about "Germans can't do Software" but ...
They also need a network volume and monitor control unit and of course ATMOS is the way to go for new studios, they need an easy configuration and setup recall tool. Switch between stereo, 5.1 and Atmos with a button on a controller.
I'm sure this will come ... in this tempo probably in 3 years. A lot of studios will have upgraded to ATMOS meanwhile cause it's needed.

I'm having a bit of an issue with me sometimes being able to locate where the sub is placed in the room. Do you think adding another 750 will fix that? I just find it distracting and somewhat annoying and its making me consider selling my 120s along with the sub and going the 3 way monitor route instead.

Counter question: Why do you want to be able to locate the subwoofer? Isn't it rather a compliment to the alignment system if the subwoofer cannot be located?
The problem is me being able to tell where it is in the room, that is the issue I'm trying to solve. Of course I'd prefer for it blend in perfectly with the satellites like it's supposed to.
I had the same issue when I used only one KH750. It was on the left-hand side of my desk, 1/4 the width of the room, I was able to locate the bass. Then I have bought an additional KH750, put it on the right side of my desk at 1/4 room width and now it's perfect.
But if you have the space to place a big monitor, it might be the better solution.
Seems like getting a second sub is the way to go to fix this. Still works out cheaper than buying decent 3 way monitors, I guess. Can MA1 configure/manage multiple subs? Sorry I haven't updated the app in a while.
