2.1 could be done with a 3 channel amp or a 4 channel MP series amp and bridge 2 channels for the subwoofer.

Or a two channel integrated with a sub out connection?

That Nad C399 looks nice, but I'd be paying for many features I won't use.
Budget is up to $1000.

Give it a couple more weeks and you may find what you’re looking for
Not Hypex but the older SVS Soundbase has 150W x2 (probalby IcePower) amplifier that sounds nice to me. It techincally is a streamer + integrated but it also has a subwoofer output with analogue input. So can be used as an Amp. Often goes for around $300ish in the used market.
