An inhumane price for the poor performance.

Here they are described and speaking of the crossover issues that Amir brought up, perhaps it is explained to some extent here:

What a waffle about the distortion level, which by the way as Amir showed was high, and about what you can hear because of it:

• Ultra low distortion so that even the most complex passages remain clear. Low distortion, which translates to linearity, is the key to subtlety and listenability - from a whisper to a scream, or both at the same time.

Out of curiosity, would you say the majority of those resonances come from the cabinet, or is it just the woofer behaving poorly?

Since they are showing up in near-field driver tests, it is not likely to be the cabinet.

It's a little disappointing as an EPI/Genesis fanboy. The design is based on the Epicure/Genesis paradigm of inverted tweeter and 1st order crossover. Huw Powell was an employee of Genesis Physics Speakers and continued this design paradigm. However, the results align with current understanding of speaker design; higher order crossovers, matching of tweeter and woofer dispersion and ports to extend bass.

Wharfedale Linton and Denton as already said.
And I believe these days any proper company can build ones if they wish to. Human is just not one of them, overall it looks like garage workshop selling some nostalgic stuff.

What's funnier, even Rogers LS 3/5a are on another technical level - a 50 y.o. speakers which got so much hate here (yes, current price is stupid, but speaker itself is not that bad).
