Genelec Acoustitape

Hmm, yeah now that I look at it again it seems like most of the tapes have standard measures and a little blank area for the logo.

Can't immediately find any that explicitly offer custom TAPE as opposed to just a logo...
Always a glitch on our hopes, I guess. Sometimes we find a way around them, though.

Certainly there is someone out there who will print custom tapes... but I guess things other than metric / imperial are rare enough not to bother advertising them.

They should support other measurement types. For instance:

Just got a reply back from perfecttape. They do have the ability to do custom prints on the tape itself. However, the minimum order quantity for that is 5000 units.

I see. Well, if there are 5000 people interested in this item on the planet I would be a little surprised...

Another option which is much less exciting but still useful is to print something out on paper and tape it together yourself.

But what if it is a fundraiser? Main challenge will be shipping logistics I guess. You get 5000 but then you need to have distributors.

Genelec is still our best hope.

In quantities of 5000 you can ship to a 3PL (3rd party logistics firm) and they handle it for a nominal fee. Or perhaps the manufacturer has parcel shipping capability at that scale (unlikely but possible), in which case let them do it.

I know people like to hate on Kickstarters, but this kind of thing / scale is commonly done for those, it's nothing too serious. I dealt with this sort of thing a few times at my old job.

The main difficulty is the international shipping, but a good 3PL will partner with a good forwarder and it doesn't burden the fundraiser too much.

If this were a real fundraiser for ASR, we could also create a bundle with UMIKs and long USB-C cables... after all, I am sure ASR must rank among the top 10 marketing channels for MiniDSP, if not top 3... they should be happy to give a quantity discount for that.
