My obscure object of desire from the turntable age: The Oracle Delphi Mk IV w SME Tonearm.
Same here, but during lockdown I got bored, found one on eBay plus a new laser, hooked it up to my dac and reciever and now I enjoy the ritual of putting a CD into it and go through my old CDs.Then I went into computer audio and the drives
I once owned a Mk II, and while it's form does follow function, beware if you got any OCD tendencies, because it reveals every speck of dust. Black acrylic (hello Goldmund) is even worse in that regard.View attachment 130487

How can we missed out Krell?
Oh, did we ?

Same here, in the late 80s - 90s before I gave up on vinyl completely, I dreamed the value of used turntables would fall thru the floor and I'd be able to buy one on the cheap. What is that??Clairtone project G, mid-60s:
Canadian audio jewelry from the mid-60s - Sinatra, Hefner and about 400 other people owned one. It had an Elac or Garrard record player and sometimes an Ampex reel-to-reel player. The globes contain speakers. There are about 50 known samples left, these go for 22K-30K. Clairtone produced somewhat less expensive versions later on: the G2 posted earlier in this thread by @Adam Bernau, and the G3 with detachable speakers. What is that??

I like the wooden block and the clear jacket which reveals the elaborate construction of the cable. Feel they look pretty cool.
