All About UFO's

We don't know what gravity is, we don't know what time is, we don't know what makes consciousness, and on it goes. Discussing what's "possible" is, based on current knowledge, the height of human arrogance and hubris.
How does not knowing what dark energy is open the possibility of FTL travel? I think if you've never seen anything move faster than light under any circumstances, from subatomic scales on up, "impossible" is a pretty reasonable conclusion. And while general relativity is incomplete, it's also the most robust scientific theory we've got, with a perfect record of predicting outcomes at macro scale. And it tells us that FTL is out of the question.

I'm also vaguely hopeful that a ToE would give us a realistic path to warp drives or something, but I can't say it's a very reasonable hope.

Fascinated that some of you humans get your advanced physics education from 6.6783413968122E+45 time units of moving lit pixels.

Hmmmm... did I betray myself here?

I have no idea, nor does anyone else as far as I'm aware, not relevant to my central point. What I do know is we lack knowledge in all manner of essential areas to conclude what's "impossible" much less possible at this time. Within classic spacetime, it's reasonable to conclude nothing will achieve FTL, or even a fraction of light speed, for reasons known. I don't dispute that. Classic space time is likley not fundamental, massive gaps in our understanding exist, two very robust scientific theories are incompatible, and on it goes. Once we fill in the major gaps, it will lead to new physics, so says those in the field. No doubt you're aware of all that. That continues to be accurate:

“When a distinguished but elderly scientist states that something is possible, he is almost certainly right. When he states that something is impossible, he is very probably wrong.”

― Arthur C. Clarke

I’m reminded of Tesla (original), who followed Clarke’s dictum regarding wireless transmission of power.

Interestingly, I have a bunch of devices that charge wirelessly, and there is talk of transmitting solar power from satellites.

And sunlight is electromagnetic and wireless.

The problem of efficiency remains.

Dark matter and energies are not things. They are bookkeeping entries invented to account for observations that don’t fit the standard cosmological models. The models themselves are not things, but extrapolations of observations.

The models make assumptions about the uniformity of spacetime, not entirely unlike the classic joke, “consider the cow as a sphere.”

I just want to know why aliens having magic technology would only share it with the American military. Or the Chinese.
If the putative aliens had a sense of humor, I think they'd have shared it with a burly guy named "Cooter" driving around on the back roads of Alabama in an old pickup truck. That would make things interesting!

I like posts like this that clarify the application of language and concepts very much. There is an almost-superstition around naming things that works like incantation. As if we can summon things from the imagination. Even more so for the acronyms we see here in the conspiracy cosmology.

Why is this ufo/intelligent extraterrestrial beings etc only a “thing” in the U.S.?, I’m sure we have a few cranks in the U.K./Europe but we don’t seem to have the amount, if any, of so called experts in the military/navy speaking out about the subject or their experiences with unidentifiable objects, reeks of a grift/self publicity that the “want to believe” crowd lap right up

Interesting, isn't it? When I think about it I consider the US has a large population, low-ish education levels (among developed countries) several significant cohorts of military personal with conflict-related PTSD, a few generations of sci-fi and tech fetishists, a burgeoning military-industrial complex with many cast-offs and retirees, a streak of independent "thinking" and so on. And several more factors impolitic to mention here. I expect it all adds up. Plus new stuff like money for clicks. A whole alternate reality-matrix can be built from internet detritus and portentous acronyms.

Latest whistle blower via the Air Force apparently, claims additional involved and so forth. More smoke and mirrors and "can't confirm or deny that because it's classified" responses or another small but legit step toward some real disclosure, remains to be seen:

Many more details for those interested:

"...Air Force veteran and whistleblower sits down exclusively with Ross Coulthart to share what he says happened while he was part of a long-rumored UAP retrieval program, including the recovery of what he describes as an "egg-shaped" object, unlike any man-made craft he's ever seen. NewsNation's Ross Coulthart will dig further into his claims, including never-before-seen video of an alleged craft recovery and secret meetings with officials on Capitol Hill, Saturday, January 18 at 8p/7C in, “Hunting UFOs: The Crash Retrieval Whistleblower.” Additionally, Mr. Coulthart will conduct exclusive interviews with three additional military whistleblowers who discuss their knowledge of the program and personal experience working on similar operations with the whistleblower. In June 2023, NewsNation was the first television network to present an interview with UFO whistleblower David Grusch. The account has led to multiple Congressional hearings and further reporting on the matter."

I recognise every word in those two sentences, but I'm struggling to work out the meaning. It's almost as if aliens have hijacked a human being and are struggling to make themselves understood. I will continue to watch this channel with interest.
