Indeed, but buying blind via online would need to know spec too.

I use Wharfedale Diamond 9.2 which is 6 ohm and it says 100 watt.

No prob to use a 100W speaker on a 300W amp. @amirm used 1kW amps on 100W speaker with no harm. Its all up to you ears.

Will something like this safe/good enough to use ? or is 32v safer ?

I was surprised why this amp so cheap, turns out Aiyima A07 doesn't come with DC adapter unlike topping pa3 that has dc adapter included.

Here in the US (through Amazon) they offer two options - with and without a PS (power supply, aka DC adaptor). The difference is $10. Either of your options should be fine for your speakers and beyond. Enjoy!

Between A07 and topping pa3, which one would you choose ? I see that you have A07, do you think it's safe to leave it unattended whole day like 10-15 hours everyday ?

@jst don't focus too much on the input voltage, just focus on how well the PSU is built. even the 48V 5A would not provide enough power to destroy speakers. unless something goes wrong, which is what you should focus on.

Yea I know but on second thought that could be because you probably not aware of pa3 at that time or something else, but then now you posted a second unit , hahahh, got it!

Btw, Aiyima is an amplifier with no tone control, do you add any, or use eq, or use it direct, dac to a07 to speakers. Also could you please post a pic of the adapter you use ? what v and a ?

Okay , thanks.

For high Ampere like 10A , most I can find locally is something like this. Kinda like cctv adapter

While black boxed adapter highest I can find is 5A

Connectivity wise, I do use it “direct" - a DAC (Modi 3+) to A07 to speakers. Everything is tied into a Roon ecosystem - all music (streams and files) is sourced from/through Roon and touched by its DSP/EQ, as needed for each endpoint.

For what its worth, I too looked at a high-current MeanWell power supply (with that ugly case, fan, and exposed terminals). However, after buying a couple of Amazon “black bricks” and [subjectively] comparing their sound with my HP/Agilent N5745A lab power supply (32V, 25A), the 4-5A black bricks are more than adequate for my listening volumes and are indistinguishable from a $1,000 lab unit.

Based on the good measurements of the A07 here I spontaneously got a A08 (as it has a bigger PSU and USB-DAC) as a temporary replacement of my big Yamaha AX-1050 (more than 2x300WRMS) which broke down till it is repaired, but to tell the truth in the first few hours I have it it really impresses me and sounds like no real audible drawback to my Focusrite/Yamaha combination, hope it will stay like this and will be also reliable on the longer run, will update here though if needed.

I read Aiyima A07 on 48v 10A is a beast, anyone tried it yet ? That diy switching power supply is kinda worrying but it's the only one mostly available for high current.

There are several brands though, the cheaper one for $18 gets so many complaints here in Indonesia local online shop. While the more expensive one at $33 gets positive reviews saying it's not even hot.

If anyone using 48v 10a, pls post what kind of ps do you use ?

This one has positive review if anyone recognize it or maybe using it pls review, there's also Meanwell original LRS-350-48 7.3Ampere for $36

Is it safe though using max power for this amp ?

I use more or less generic industrial PSUs from AliExpress or eBay sellers and shunt an extra 1000uF filter capacitor across the V+/V- terminals. If a PSU's fan isn't thermostatically controlled, I just remove the fan entirely -- in normal use, the A07's current demand isn't steady enough for the PSU to require fan-assisted cooling, even at high volumes.

What speakers are those? PA? Those are pretty high sensitivity numbers, but dont think the A07s are ready for outdoor duties. Not if you want to use those speakers to its full potential. I noticed that vid is in indonesian?

Yea it is Indo. I'm also curious myself what kind of speakers are those, probably for outdoor/stage, most outdoor sound systems connectors are different using XLR for interconnects, so I guess they use different connectors too for the speakers.

Anyway, I found Sony speakers from an old Compo (vcd era) in my storage and pair it with Aiyima A07, and wow it sounds more powerful than my 6.5 inch bookshelf speakers. I kinda miss big speakers, using bookshelf speakers for so long, even with subwoofer, it's different from big speakers.

Here's how the speakers look like.

I guess so, everything is different, even the interconnect is using XLR, and there's CH like car audio.

It looks like a speacon connector.
Ah I see, must be it.
