How? Dr. Strangelove (1964) was made 2 years after the Cuban missile crisis (1962) and the threat of nuclear annihilation was very real. These days the only countries with enough nukes to flatten the USA are China and Russia and I don't think either of them would do so. Russia probably lacks the capability, and China has no economic incentive because they NEED the USA.

It always saddens me when I see the youth of today believe lessons like Strangelove's are all things of the past and ignore the wisdom and warnings of their elders, when the reality is we all today still live with the ever-present threat of fluoridated water
