Only 11 days left in the month. Any news on when it will be unveiled?

It will probably (well, definitely) be pushed back into September. We want to make sure it is polished and ready on all fronts before official announcement and opening of pre-orders.
you need to keep us going with a few more teasers :)

@Buckeye Amps

I am sure the actual financial details are confidential, but as small company, if you wanted eARC PCM support with HDMI-CEC or 2 channel Dirac or even PEQ, how much of a barrier to entry is it if you were partnering with a company like MDS? Could you kickstarter it where you made sure you hit a certain number of prepaid preorders so that you didn’t take the economic risk?

It seems like the Monoprice at 4k for 16 channels it would be viable since you would need Dirac licenses but none of the Dolby or DTS stuff and would cut out one middleman. Or maybe plain PEQ instead of Dirac is even cheaper.

Dirac would be much preferred and inclusion of dolby decoding with down sampling to 2.1 would be a real differentiator compared to what is available.

+1. I just don't know if low volume = very high Dolby licensing fees, or if there is some super high licensing fee for the first 100,000 units which also becomes cost prohibitive.

Good on you Dylan - always better delay than to push something in to the market that isn't ready for prime time. I've worked in massive tech companies as a product manager for 17 years and it's always better to delay than push out something unfinished. Customers will understand and they will wait and then they'll appreciate the extra work put in tot get it right.

Jeez, be realistic, Dirac isn’t happening for a one man shop like Buckeye. Not enough customer support in place to troubleshoot, etc. The fact that an integrated amp with display is coming is enough of a big deal. Don’t kick a gift horse in the mouth!
