Actually I'd like to see that one reviewed here on ASR. Looking at the measurements on the Drop website it has a smoother frequency response than the HE4XX, a bit more bass extension, and less distortion, whilst only being $99, that sounds very promising!Drop + Hifiman HE-X4 headphones $99

It's pretty common knowledge that Revel vendors can negotiate lower prices with individual customers at any time, though sub-MSRP prices can only be advertised during an official Revel sale. I wonder if during an official Revel sale if some vendors have been known to negotiate prices even lower than the official sale price? The Revel M16 on sale at a couple places. Music Direct also. Same price. $693 a pair.
That would be cool to be able to negotiate it down even a bit lower. It's pretty common knowledge that Revel vendors can negotiate lower prices with individual customers at any time, though sub-MSRP prices can only be advertised during an official Revel sale. Before the price increase, dealers (at least some, anyway) would usually discount about 30% in the USA from what I could gather, and sometimes close to 40% on certain speakers. (For instance, the final price of the Revel M16 put them into direct competition with the Elac DBR-62, Polk Reserve R200, and Wharfedale Diamond 12.2.) There used to be a couple of unauthorized dealers who sold Revel online for close to 40% off, on average, but they don't seem to be around any longer. I'm not sure how much that has changed since the price increase, but I notice that the current sale seems to be 30% off, so I'm guessing not much. That would be cool to be able to negotiate it down even a bit lower.
When I see the same sale at multiple vendors I wonder if there might be something new coming on the horizon??
Revel did increase prices across the board recently. About 10%.

We simply request you post non affiliated links. Let the Buyers decide if they wish to contribute or not.Amazon smile only works if the buyer has a charity selected.
For example: if you have set up amazon smile and choose Direct Relief as your charity, any time you buy via amazon smile they will will donate 0.5% of the price of eligible items to Direct Relief. If you share an amazon smile link to a product (such as the headphone amplifier above) and I buy it, the charity I selected would receive 0.5% of the purchase price. If the buyer does not have amazon smile set up then no charity would benefit and they would see this banner at the top of the page:
No problem. Rules are rules. I keep an Amazon Smile link on my desktop so if I'm "just looking" and end up buying something, I don't have to remember to go through Amazon Smile. I'm not going to petition you to exempt Amazon Smile from the prohibition on affiliate links, because it's not that big a deal. But I do feel I have to echo gorb and emphasize that no one would be contributing anything to anybody by purchasing though an Amazon Smile link unless they've signed up for Amazon Smile. We simply request you post non affiliated links.
