I must say that you have made me curious, for the ridiculous price asked for a small amplifier with integrated DSP. Ordered today from aliexpress, I will try to correct the ambient modes of my bedroom system with two Elc unifi ub52. I want to understand the potential of such an inexpensive product

Same here. I don’t expect much on the performances side, but I’m curious about the DSP…. Note on the Eiffelton amps: I don’t think the PSU is included.

see below. Btw, wow that looks like a very cheap and prob low quality volume pot.
Would it be easy to replace or bypass altogether? What other mod's could be worth trying?

Thank you for the pics, is it your equipment?
Do you know what's the rating of the capacitors?

Manual soldering around back for plugs etc. isn't clean, probably it could use a bit of flux/residue cleaning to start with but it may not be bad for the price in general.
Other 3255 boards sold by Wondom have vol/bluetooth/DSP bypass switch/jumper. I don't see it in the pics, may be I am not able to look closer to find out.

If you look carefully you'll see it's only got a single track - the audio isn't going through it. It's not unusual with DSP like this - a pot feeding a voltage to a 12 bit ADC is used as an input to allow DSP settings to be easily changed. If you look at some of the other wondom boards you'll see 4 pots that can be used for things like bass, treble, crossover frequency etc.

I compared the distortion measurements between the bru5 and my Aiyima j115d amp, which is an irs2092, measured at my Acoustat 1+1 speaker panel and 1 ft away. Admittedly a garage mechanics way of comparing, but that is all i have. Distortion measured this way yielded 2 percent with the irs2092 and 1.5 percent with the bru5, so appears to be better.
My bru5 came with nothing else in the box. Took 2 weeks to get it free ship and 35 bucks from wondom. Had to play with it patiently to even get it to work because the Bluetooth kept interfering. The usb-c plug broke off inside the case when i tried to use it, so no dsp. The dsp software is not user friendly at all, still can't figure it out. I can't understand the youtube guy showing how to use it. I thought i saw a guy using it with his phone via bluetooth, but i'm not sure. Had to request the info from wondom , but no software instructions at all, only the software download zip.
just y 2 cents.

That sucks, well should be an easy fix if you're a solder slinger?
Paying someone else to repair it would prob cost more than the device itself.

BT interfering with what?

My tpa3244 BRU5 took only about 4 days to reach Brazil, but now has entered the black hole that is the logistics here, so waiting now for the slooow leg of the journey.

ASR Newby here (just joined as a result of seeing this post).

Ordered the BRU5 last week and thought I would download the software in advance of receiving it. Unfortunately I couldn't find it on their website and received no response to my email inquiry to Wondom.

Given the above, can anyone point me to a download link for the BRU5 software?

Thanks in Advance...
- John

Bump. Does anyone have a URL for the BRU5 software?

Thanks...
- John
I don't think it's available like that.
If you bought it on Aliexpress then just ping the seller and they will send you the download link.

got software from seller via email.
i don't use Bluetooth and there is no rca output if the Bluetooth is on.
blue light blinks constantly so i cant tell if its on or not. when i push the button i dont know what its doing. frustrating.
unless i can defeat the bt internally i will never use it.

No not my device. I just ordered the BRU5 TPA3244 version, waiting for arrival. I don't need the extra power of the tpa3255.

Got my BRU5 now (TPA3244) only $27 on AliExpress. Haven't yet done any detailed listening to it. Just played it via Bluetooth so far. Sounds smoother or less bright than my other cheap dual-TPA3116d2 AIO but oddly doesn't have as much max volume ability. Currently using a 19V 3A PS - an old notebook supply i think.
And using 96db 15" coaxial open-baffle speakers (Hawthorne Audio Silver Iris).

I believe the DSP Software will allow you to adjust the gain on all inputs including Bluetooth.
thanks might check that out after putting an heat sink on the power chip, even if it's not needed couldn't hurt to keep the chip running cooler.

I should have searched for this thread before buying the bru5. I bought it for a planned workshop bt speaker. My plan was to run a wideband driver with one channel and a sub on the other assuming I could filter both channels separately. This is definitely not an option?
