On my case the tick comes only from the right side (headphone) when the signal comes back after I give it some taps on it. I think it may be a falty relay because if the tap is a little harder the amp keeps working fine for a longer period and if it is not so strong it seems the relay doesn't not make contact right. I thinking about opening this again and do a continuity test on the relays contacts...

Returning the device may be the best option .. but then the shipping costs.
Just realize very few of these L30's may potentially be a ticking time bomb.

Leaves it up to the customer to decide who is not even using full understanding of the issues. Professional in tone maybe but the reckless as well. Could have done a full still on sales and call them back for exchange. Automobile industry does it alot

May I know if the E30 and L30 power socket physical size are the same ?! I know one is AC and the other is DC but if I stack it up, there is a possibility of plugging in the wrong power supply if they are physically the same.

Yes, you can mistakenly change the plugs and end up damaging the products.
My plugs end have different colors, but be careful.

Wow. That is a bad design oversight. I need to label the cables carefully if I get the stack.

I read that newer revisions would have some protection against mixing the plugs, but older ones have actually been damaged. There is a story in the thread of this product or E30.

I have just been called by the seller regarding replacement.
They told me that only the unit must be sent to the store, without any accessories.
After that, they will send only the SN of the unit to Topping and the amp will be destroyed !
Topping will send the new L30 directly to the customer !
I forgot to ask if there will be some shipping costs for me, being in EU.

I dont think this would be too much of an issue imo cause the l30 plug is an actual wall plug while the e30 is just a male usb connector i power mine through a usb port on my pc i can usually tell which connector comes from the wall and which one is coming from my pc

Seems the time is ticking on my L30 - bad joke. I'd like to get a new L30 but the shipping cost... x.x

Topping didn't design AC or DC power adaptors; they've always been like this. It's always wise to take a few moments to check what you're doing when connecting equipment to the mains!

As you know me I'm very transparent. In previous respond, I have talked about the DC protection having some issues. With more detail, in 2 ways, threshold, and the protection of the opamp caused the circuit to not function properly. It's only solved in 2012(December 2020) batch. But I don't think others should worry too much. The likelihood of failed unit is still very small.

There is only one thing that keeps me in doubt, John said that this 2012 review had improvements in DC protection, was that enough to put aside all the other problems, more precisely the problem with the discharge of static electricity?

That's pretty crazy~ but at least everyone that wants to can get their new-revision unit.

The seller told me that Topping wants that all the faulty L30 units to be destroyed because they do want to be sure that those units do not came to the market again ! So, it make sens taking into consideration that the sticker with printed SN could be falsified and is not so easy to open the case to verify the SN directly on the board.
And the unit will be destroyed by the dealer, not by Topping !

There have to be other ways of ensuring that, no need to go all Duterte on them. Super wasteful IMHO

Would it be possible to find out what changes were made to the circuit of version 2012?
Maybe it is possible for experienced DIY enthusiasts to make these changes.

Guess I'll contact amazon today.
Be good to get the new revision back on @amirm test bench to see if measured preformance has changed.
