Analogue switches are implemented instead of relay because people hate clicking in the dac.
Thanks JohnThe pop is only a few hundred microvolts not millivolts. Analogue switches are implemented instead of relay because people hate clicking in the dac.
Pop is inevitable in some of the designs. If pop is so important to some people, get the ESS based dac. Those don't click/pop. I have shown some measurements on a m400 d90mqa related thread somewhere. Thanks John
Just found this https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/topping-e30-dac-review.12119/post-425183 too
Would still suggest turning power amp off before DAC!
Play a DSD file and then the FIR button will change the filter.I've just received a Topping E30 that I'm enjoying quite a bit and I'm going through the manual to familiarize myself with the settings but I can't quite work out how to do two things:
The FIR button cycles through the PCM filters as I'd expect.
- Change the DSD Filter Settings
- Perform a factory reset
Ah! This makes perfect sense; thank you.Play a DSD file and then the FIR button will change the filter.
Which PC doesn't have USB connection??I just ordered this from Apos Audio with the Topping L30 amp combo. Very excited! Unfortunately, I'll have to use a digital optical cable instead of USB because my computer only has a headphone, line level out, and digital optical output.

Pretty much, yes. I can't speak for macs but on pc, Windows 10, definitely.Sorry, newbie here. I've never used an external DAC into a computer before. You're saying you can plug and play with USB? Like for example, if I hook it up to my Mac, a new USB output option appears in the sound preferences output?

This is not what I asked, but a workaround. I'm not the only user of my stereo system and the last thing that I want to do is hang a postit note on my dac with instructions for my son and my wife.
My question is: does it make the noise? If yes: I won't even bother.
Don't feel like an idiot. Asking a question and getting an answer is what it's all about.LOL, wow, I feel like an idiot. Thanks for the heads up.
Plug and Play with Android and OTG cable?
