Considering the age demographic of our user base a dripping tap would force most of our members to retreat to the bathroom and thusly quell any immediate ruckus that might be brewing.

Beer, chips and taking the piss out of amir are my other trusteed go to solutions but I’m always open to new things so cheers.

First intervention:
A high-end hotel we used to stay at in Hong Kong used to have honeycombs like this in their massive breakfast bar. It was one of the most amazing experiences I remember from going there.

My grandfather was a beekeeper and I used to help centrifuge the combs to get the honey out. You used to be able to buy honey in combs; you could spread and chew, it was great. Haven't seen those in ages.

Also miss dumping the heavy cream on my cereal in the morning after milking the cow; we'd use a cotton cloth to filter the milk then dump the heavy creamy stuff on cereal. Makes my mouth water and arteries harden just thinking about it.

Great Don, got some similar childhood experiences from my grandfather, farmer & carpenter, building his family two houses and barn for the cows & horses with his own hands. Raising ten kids, my mom one of them, taking on Finnish kids fleeing during WW2.
They don't make them anymore like that!

Brain tingles: First study of its kind reveals physiological benefits of ASMR
Date: June 21, 2018 Source: University of Sheffield Summary: Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) - the relaxing 'brain tingles' experienced by some people in response to specific triggers, such as whispering, tapping and slow hand movements -- may have benefits for both mental and physical health, according to new research.

And it works! Feeling upset/angry/crossed/misunderstood ... go to ASMR for relief & soothing ... ;-)
I didn't know anything about those. It is awesome because they only eat, enjoy, and without talking. It's like posting your audio gear like porn de luxe without words.
For analog I like the turntable best, and then the internals of open-reel tape decks.
For digital I like music server's front panel displays, and then the internals of DACs circuit boards. It's all aphrodisiac.
Posting pictures without words is great, now posting YouTube videos of mouths eating exotic food without words but only sounds is super cool too. Thx for that, more fun in life.

Motorcycle ASMR, an idling Harley Davidson Big Twin.
The most beautiful sounding non-declared musical instrument ever devised by man. ;)
Even better in High Definition. o_O

It's funny, I was just checking all the variety of ASMR ...

Yes, there many more videos like it.

In regards to the science behind it, the art of relaxation from only the sounds of eating food, whispering, the autumn leaves falling from gentle winds, the hummingbirds watching you on your iPad while listening to Chopin and Beethoven from your hi-res music library, flying in front of your face, listening to their wings flapping, and landing on a tree branch five feet in front of you, balancing on that branch, and turning their head below and sideways, murmuring to your lover romantic secrets, inviting your children and pets for a walk only by calm gestures, ...all that is certainly very good for evolving in peace physically and spiritually.

That is excellence that you started this thread; very much appreciated.
Smooth music is good, whispering is good, sounds of silence and food is good.
All is good when it's peaceful and lovely.
It's a beautiful blue planet we live on; it deserves all our lovin'.

Is this a thing now?

Videos of girls eating stuff, shot in a way that's practically soft-core porn?

I think you should concentrate more on the gentle sounds, that's what it's about.
On your tablet or laptop or MacPro, just blank the screen, put your headphones on, plug them in and only listen. You'll see (hear) more freely without any psychological visual interference. You have to rise above the conventional wisdom when you are serious about audio science.

Then it just turns into some asshole chewing their food in your ear.

I don't get it at all...
