The Grimm LS1 be loudspeakers with digital motion control ubwoofers and the new berylium tweeter should arrive in ten days time.

It should be interesting to have the Kii THREEs with their BXT modules , the Dutch&Dutch 8Cs and the Grimm LS1a all together, all three loudspeakers measure and sound superb, they are at the very cutting edge edge of loudspeaker design, the only comparable design is B&O’s Beolab 90 which is considerably more expensive.

I would love an audition, but the nearest Kii dealer is in Dallas, a 5 hour drive from Houston. D&D is way far, and this is the first I have heard of Grimm, which is more expensive than the other two. Next trip to merry old England I might drop in.

Purité Audio can now offer perhaps the three best measuring and finest sounding loudspeakers together in one room.
Kii THREE with their new BXT sub modules.

Grimm Audio’s LS1BE with new Berylium tweeters and Digital Motional Feedback controlled subwoofers which offer 30% less distortion.

Switching between speakers is instant using ROON software, we can also accommodate your current loudspeakers for comparison.

Kii3 and LS1BE both designed by Bruno?

What's the price difference?

Kii / BXT are virtually the same price as the Grimm’s with BE tweeter and motional feedback subs.

I don't think the motion feedback subs are designed by Bruno, it is post-Bruno and made by the great Robert Munnig Schmidt. Guido Tent had a lot to do with the speakers and Eelco Grimm as well (and many others). Keith have you seen the MU1?

Anker's Soundcore may be small, but it has two individual speakers inside of it, so it'll definitely get loud enough to fill a room.
Yeah, that's exactly how physics works:)

I'm sure measurements of these things would be interesting, I keep intending to measure some of the versions of these in our house, devices I'm fine with using in the right situation.

Bruno and Eelco are co-authors of the Grimm design white paper, Guido Tent was and is very much part of the company , and yes the motional feedback is post Bruno, I don’t know why every company doesn’t adopt this design.

I think the white paper states they adopt this design because they wanted a transportable product...

Not every company wants to design a transportable product.

Noted but I think their idea of transportable is different, which is why they rule out cardioid design?

Bruno has designed a cardioid speaker as you know... kii3

Motion control is one way of reducing LF distortion, another one is to simply use a bigger driver.

Large drivers suffer from cone break up, really best to keep the drivers pistonic through their passband.
