What is the sample rate of the internal DSP ?

I don't think that has been disclosed. The DSP chip is proprietary to VLSI/DSpeaker. The DAC is a Burr Brown PCM1754 which is 24bit/192khz.

@sigbergaudio, could you please post an non or var smoothed comparison with the X2 and without it, in the other thread you just posted a plot with it enabled.
Thank you

Here's 20-200hz var-smoothed: (red bypass green x2) - Both measurements are average of left/right. Guess this room wasn't horrible to begin with. :)

Thank you, would be possibly interesting to see in the future also an example of a worse initial state. :)

Yeah, I've got three different rooms where I've tested it, but they're all quite good to begin with. I also have some more done with X4 (quite similar algorithm) but I've not been great at storing bypassed measurements since I've typically already been familiar with the raw response in the room so didn't think to store it for comparison.

Here's one of the other rooms (dual subs in this):

Here's one more of a worse initial state, same speakers (iloud mtm), different room.

As a owner of antimode X2, Dualcore and two 8033s-II, is there any interest on ASR for me doing some sort of comparative measurements of them?

Well, I’d be interested.

So am I and am sure also few more.
Ok

I'll try to find the time this week to do some measurements. I could start by comparing dualcore and 8033 in a dual sub (ripole-dipole) setup that I currently have in use in my livingroom.

First set of measurements done. This is dualcore (max calibration 500hz) vs one 8033s-II (fixed 260hz upper limit).

Dualcore is calibrated as dual mono subs. Crossover is at 200hz for both.

The 8033 is a bit better at correcting dipole subs, as we can see here. This is usually the case in my experience, but with regular subs (sealed/ported) it's the other way around.

@Hellasärö Thanks for the effort! It will be interesting to see the X2 in comparison!

Here's 8033 calibrated vs uncalibrated (150hz crossover)

Glad to be of help

Tomorrow I think I will re-calibrate dualcore with the "typical"/automatic calibration to see if it's better than max correction(500hz).

I will also try what the X2 can do with the subs. Then I'll compare dualcore and x2 correction on the whole system (mains+subs).

I find this strange. Does this mean that one must resample 44.1 kHz audio to 48 kHz in the playback app on a PC before sending the stream to the unit?

It shouldn't as USB Audio 1.0 doesn't impose restrictions on sample rate. Just thought it odd that all the acceptable rates are listed in the S/PDIF spec but not the USB spec.
