The people of Ivory Coast, Africa are friendly... they all speak French fluently. I could walk or drive at midnight in the city called Abidjan without fear.
I was living in a suburb called Cocody at 250m from a bowling and an ice rink.
We could play bowling and see the people on the ice rink. The bowling was made in USA.
I left Ivory Coast in June 1972, I was 20 years old !
2 weeks after living in France I met my wife... and still living together by the Mediterranean Sea.
Today the population of Abidjan is 6 millions inhabitants.

our sky today is pleasantly blue -- but cloudless, which makes it less dramatic.

We're replacing/upgrading the original photovoltaic array on our house -- installed as it was being built, back in 2011.

First Fawn Of the Year (in the yard, that is), 2024.
My folks have a three legged doe that likes to frequent their back yard. Every year without fail she shows up with a new fawn. Our working theory is she can't get away from the buck.
We've had 5 litters (is that the right term?) delivered in our back yard since 2013. They like to drop the fawns (always twins) about 2 meters from our deck. This is the latest from 2023.Earlier today: FFOTY

I was a little too itchy on my CP trigger finger. I love the way the clouds seem to lead you to a point over that hill in the centre of the image .Especially on a day featuring "Chamber of Commerce" weather.

I've taken the image 7 years ago at least... maybe more... full white, full grey, full black !!!
Image taken in a small village called BOUDES, in the middle of vineyards in France with a NIKON F50. I still use it.

This is the house of Paul Allen from Microsoft USA who is dead, located on the French Riviera south east of France... by the Mediterranean Sea. What you see is a portion of the property... When he was alive there was his yacht in front of the property at 100m. There was an helicopter on the yacht because they are forbidden above the houses. So a small boat with a small motor was used to join the property.
When he died his fortune was 23 billion dollars.
