Onkyo FW update will add new "Denon-inspired" features and improvements (inc Auro 3D and pre-amp mode)

"Front" in pre-amp mode does not include the C(enter), but only L+R channels (RZ50 & RZ70).
DLBC is, if I remember it correctly, available now for the RZ50 (RZ70 too) at new lower price (multiple subwoofers). "Full" license covers only regular bass management.
In pre-amp mode the power amps are never switched off, but only run in low power (idle) mode depending on the power amps efficency.
They are just excluded from handling the signal.

Note: I stand corrected, the DLBC is comming soon...

RZ50 can't do DLBC currently. It has been "promised" but they had just about 4 years to get it done!

I just checked with the Dirac-Shop. It stated, that DLBC for the Onkyo RZ50 will be "available pretty soon". Thus in the near future the wait should be over :)

According to the Dirac website, DLBC for RZ50 is "coming soon"

and what about the integra 3.4 (no auro3d), is a better buy, accepting that on has only 9 pre outs and less power?

I looked at the boards and it seems that the RZ5050, integra 3.4, pioneer lx305-505 and onkyo 7100 share the same processor and have very similar amps (with different power supplies and cooling)
