For this obsession, they should give you a hefty discount on your Genelec purchaseYeah...I'm kind of obsessed with them for years ...(and not only on this forum ...)
As much as I wish this were true, there is no way the 8381a will cost 7500 euros. Just looking at the BOM alone, considering all R&D put into it and the industry margins from distributor to dealer, I think we look at least at 11999 Euro each and likely close to 15000 Euros. Time will tell.two days is a long time, so here is a highly scientific extrapolation and interpolation

btw: do you notice that 8381 is not 'ultimate' 8391?
It's been mentioned many times that 1235A is 45k€/pair, these will not be below that. The spreadsheet is completely out of whack. As much as I wish this were true, there is no way the 8381a will cost 7500 euros. He uploaded two pictures, the first is the estimated price based on the other models of the ones, the second is the estimated price based on the Genelec main monitor, the second picture is more reasonable. It's been mentioned many times that 1235A is 45k€/pair, these will not be below that. Again, 1235A is 45k€/pair. Why do you think this would cost less, having more drivers and massively more amps? Or that it would be anywhere near 8361 which is a dwarf compared to it? Not even in the same league, "point source" or not.I stated 'highly'
https://www.audiopro.de/de/173.html listed prices for all models some weeks ago, now they are mostly gone. Price for 1234 and 1236 are rounded but correct, but i do not remember for 1235, this one is estimated.
RAM in the model does not refer to RAM Audio. 1237A RAM-L amplifier has Pascal amps:Probably that's the amps it's using.
Can't locate the specific ones but they seem to have some serious power under the hood:
(12000 watts ones are more than tempting!)
Oops, sorry then,I was just reading this and search turned with only Ram audio.RAM in the model does not refer to RAM Audio. 1237A RAM-L amplifier has Pascal amps:

Genelec RAM-L amplifier teardown pictures
Here's some pictures I took of the amplifier, while investigating why my 1237A's tweeter went quiet. Apparently there was bad/loose connection somewhere, as it simply started working after putting all back together.. Classic PCM1794 / PCM4220 chips. D-class module seems to be Pascal S-PRO2. 25k$ each at least. I think they'll be like 35k$ eachCome on people don't give them ideas about the prices
Maybe it's 20% more than a 8361?
Now after they saw the comments here they might even sell it at $100K25k$ each at least. I think they'll be like 35k$ each
