Upgrade monitors to genelec 8351B’s?

If you want to get a relevant answer, you should describe your listening environment and what does not satisfy you in your current setup.

But in general, I would not expect a big difference unless we are talking about a very close nearfield setup, where the coaxial driver could make a difference (and hiss, if the Genelecs have lower levels thereof, which I am not sure about). Otherwise, I'd rather get a miniDSP Flex to add room EQ.

GLM with a Genelec subwoofer is really great and possibly worth investing in the Genelec system, but it adds even more cost.

Only one way to find out: order one and have a ABX test at home. Or at least listen to it side by side.

If you are using them for actual monitoring / mixing the genelec is probably better, based on this post: Thread 'HEDD Type 20 - studio monitor' https://audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/hedd-type-20-studio-monitor.16629/

But there is some talk of a linearizer so maybe it performs better with that. Without it seems to have a "smile' tuning which I think is inappropriate for a monitor.

looks like that with LF- and HF- settings they are pretty flat
