So... Am I an idiot for using these as RCA-to-XLRM at my receiver and XLRF-to-RCA at my subwoofers? The signal cables have long runs (15 ft.) in parallel with power (120VAC @ 60Hz) and trigger (12VDC) cables. My thought was that I could avoid mains contamination of the line level signals via CMNR, rather than relying on shielding alone over an unbalanced cable. I have enabled 1 PEQ filter on my subs to compensate for the rolloff starting at 40Hz (+3dB @ 20Hz, Q = 2, bell as shelf is not available on SVS SB-3000).
