NAD M10 Streaming Amplifier Review

Just saying that they need to be working together on this. If it's not happening: Then this is a black-eye for both..
Black eye or not, clear and consistent communication from manufacturers about product capabilities is crucial for maintaining customer trust—be it from engineering or customer service.

In this case, NAD's inconsistent communication has led me to lose trust in the company, and I believe many others feel the same way.

I want to connect an hdmi sound from a windows pc to my M10. How can I get the hdmi audio to be duplicated on the earc channel without a TV?

The description of the V2 on their website says explicitely:

  • Preamp output, two independent subwoofer outputs with updated gain algorithms (exactly the same description as for V3)
Unless by independant they mean two different output jacks that are resulting from a single one being splitted inside, I would think that independant really means independant.

How or what should use/connect to a NAD M10 V1 to listen Apple Music in full HD?

Ok thanks, taking a screenshot of it now for my lawyer :D

Anyone tried the new NAD M10 V3 ?

The M10 V3 retains everything that made the original M10 and M10 V2 so beloved, but enhances the platform with the addition of NAD's new BC1 IR remote, support for optional Dirac Live Bass Control*, a high-quality dedicated phono input (MM) and an improved DAC ESS Sabre ES9039.

I have v2. They are independent

Good afternoon!
There are 2 problems with my NAD M10 v.1:
1. Overheating. When working, and not at high volume levels, the device reboots, as far as I understand, due to overheating.
2. Spontaneous switching on. The device turns on periodically from standby mode.

Have you encountered any of these problems and is there any solution?

I have v2 Version.
NAD managed to cover the passive cooling fins on the sides with the glass cover so the hot air cannot disappear.
I also got upset about this insane design. I removed the cover plate and constructed a new one (improves around -8°).
Nevertheless I didnt had reboots with the glass cover even it got hot, neither it switches on by itself.

It runs pretty perfect, except it has issues when you connect a huge filebase 10k+ of music by USB or even Lan. It got stucked for minutes then and would not react to any touch.

What temperatures show on the diagnostic screen? Do you have a picture of where you use it?

Great idea! How about the bottom, is it open so air can circulate thru convection. :

Cant speak to the M10 v1 but I had issues with spontaneous switching on and volume increasing by itself on my D 3045 so I switched to the M10 v2 and have not had any issues with the v2 switching on by itself.

I didn’t take a photo, usually you don’t have time to see the message, you hear the sound disappear and see that the device is rebooting. Here's what the manual says:
Temperature Left/Temperature Right: If the internal temperature
of either left or right amplifier channel reaches 91 degrees
centigrade, M10 will turn off automatically and a protect message
will be shown in the display. Once the temperature falls below
80 degrees centigrade, M10 will turn on again and the protect
message display will be cleared.

You can read the logs on the device and look for the time stamp when it reboots.

Yes, the bottom of the fins is open. The white areas reach temps over 50°C

I highly recommend a small laptop cooler, anything with a larger 160 - 240 mm fan, and if you feel comfortable, remove the heat sinks and fresh apply thermal paste. Thermal pastes degrade after a few years
