NAD M10 Streaming Amplifier Review

Is anyone here using the latest Dirac Live v3.13.2 with the NAD M10 V2

I’ve tested both the macOS and Windows 11 versions, and in both cases, the subwoofer output is significantly and noticeably reduced when Dirac is active.

Out of curiosity, I went back and tested previous versions one by one. So far, the only version that does not have this issue is v3.4.4, released on May 12, 2022. That version produces proper bass levels, while everything after that seems affected.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? And if so, have you found a workaround?

I’ve already contacted both NAD and Dirac support:
• NAD said to reach out to Dirac.
• Dirac acknowledged the issue months ago, but so far there has been no follow-up or fix, and they mentioned their team has been extremely busy.

Would appreciate any shared experiences or advice. Thanks!
Have you tried dragging the bass shelf up maybe +6 dB? Left to it's own, Dirac is more likely to cut than to add gain since you can't really fill nulls and this can lead to "thinner" bass.

I had the same issue. I was getting no subwoofer output with DIRAC Live on my NAD M10 v2 when I first got it. It drove me crazy. I recall spending days trying to figure out what was wrong (swapping cables, changing settings, constantly remeasureng, trying to change my target curve) and found some posts online about this that suggested 3.4.4 worked. Unfortunate that this is still not resolved as I got mine over a year ago. 3.4.4 has been working well for me.

Yes, I have dragged it up to +8dB and even +10dB, but it's still thin bass.

Thanks for confirming that I am not the only one with the issue.

What’s disappointing is that Dirac’s own release notes for v3.9.7 claim:
Fixes: Fixed the known problem where some NAD and other devices didn’t populate the subwoofer filter unless using version 3.4.4 or older.

Hey there, just wondering if any fellow M10 v1 owners have experienced any problem with how warm these units run? There were some comments and top-panel hacks upthread, but I just want to know if 65-67C is fine for long term use. I’ve been using mine in a minimal 2-channel home theater with the notoriously inefficient Dayton Opal 1 and it’s a killer streaming system. I don’t want to cook it, however. Thanks.
