All-new Eversolo play streaming amplifier!

T8 Pure Transport as well…

View attachment 450670

The T8 Pure Transport features isolated outputs including SFP optical module, USB Audio, HDMI-IIS, Coaxial, Optical, AES, and EUB interfaces. Equipped with an ultra-precision femtosecond-grade master clock, it delivers bit-perfect digital signals to external DACs.
Finally, a streamer without DAC, preamp, amp and all the other junk I don't need.
Let's wait and see its price.

On the CD option:
SACD?
Gapless?

If the upcoming Eversolo T8 Transport only passes Dolby Atmos (Amazon Music Unlimited) to my Anthem AVM 90, I'm probably in. The DAC on the AVM 90 is superb. That's the only reason I didn't buy the A6 GEN 2. Only up to 5.1.
Totally agree. There is so much music out there in multichannel, Atmos and now even Auro 7.1.4 at 96khz (https://pureaudiostreaming.com/) that I´m really wondering, why there are no streamer for those tracks. It´s a shame that even those cheap Fire TV devices can do it, but really good streamers cannot. The T8 is only stereo, as far as I now. Is nobody interested to at least try out, what they pay for? They pay for Tidal and Amazon and don´t even want to try the Atmos and 360 reality audio tracks? What about those fantastic multichannel tracks from Steely Dan, Genesis, Beatles etc. or Gabriel´s I/O ?
Cardan and I cannot be the only ones that want to listen to that music. Do we really have to use those crappy Fire TV devices? I have a Fire TV Cube and while it´s great for online video streaming, its UI for Amazon Music etc. is really bad. But at least I can see the UI on a TV, if I want. Those expensive streamers cannot even do that.

can anyone summarize in very simple terms what this is? it does so much stuff that it is a little mind-boggling to me. it's designed for the person who wants to do what..?

can i ask a genuine but probably stupid question? what's the use-case for a streamer? is it for running your streaming apps into your set-up if you can't connect a phone or a laptop? does it have any advantages over those two sources?

Has functionality regressed so far that you have to ask now? That's been core functionality since CD was introduced!
You incorrect sir. Yes one would think. But Emotiva's ERC-4 top-of-the-line CD player/transport will NOT play gapless. (Hence, why I ask)

gapless seems to be a feature that was big in CD devices 30 years ago, but, for some reason, companies do not prioritize anymore!

Does someone know the name of this device or is it just called play? Looks like a good alternative for the NAD M10, NAD C700, ...
  • High-resolution network streamer with support for Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, Roon, and more
  • Premium DAC, likely based on the ESS Sabre platform, known for its rich detail and precision
  • Powerful Class D integrated amplifier, capable of driving anything from compact monitors to full-range floorstanders
  • Responsive touchscreen interface running Android, offering full control via the front panel, smartphone, tablet, or remote

Yeah. You could be forgiven if you manufactured a gapless player in the late 80s.

Heck my Oppo BP-93, only 15 yo, can play gapless, SACD, cd-rom, blue ray, dvd, supported DSD and more. All for under $1000.

Today, if you want a CD player/transport that (at least) supports SACD, expect to pay well over $1500. And yes more SACD titles are being released NOW.

Yes the market has regressed. The bar of expectation has been lowered upon the young and unsuspecting up-and-coming "audiophile" consumer.

Wiim mini?
You didn't read my message, did you?
Beside that WiiM Mini has an internal DAC it also has amplification and the worst part is the limited 192KHz and no DSD.
I was looking for a pure streamer without DAC, without preamp, without amp and not limited to PCM.

Just ordered an example for evaluation, with the AsciLAB C6B’s..
