NAD M10 V3 BluOS STREAMING AMPLIFIER

What about a Purifi amp?
More like a NcoreX (NCx250) would be an upgrade. There is only NCX500 and NCX1000 at this moment.

@Mike_Trueman

Ok let's say that the card is correct even if it only reports the WPC values.

I'll give you an example:

Nad ma10-V3 Wat 100 (measured 151)
Evo 150 Wat 152
Rose RS520 Wat 250

I mention these amplifiers because they are the only ones that interest me, in reality we must also consider the amount of current called with the name, of "Ampere" that comes out and not only the Wat, so

Nad M10-V3 I can't find data.
Evo 150 declares 14.4 Ampere
Rose RS520 declares 10 Ampere (found on a forum online).

From this point of view Evo 150 despite declaring only 150 Watt of power, in reality it is the best as it has almost 5 Ampere more than the Rose therefore more current to manage the speakers, I have no idea about Nad but I assume he also has 10?

Sorry if I went off topic, but if this data is real the Cambridge is the best overall among these 3 models and has a cost of 1500 euros less than the Rose.
Is it worth it?

The Rose is a class D (AD) GAN amplifier so you can not simple compare this amp with the NAD and the EVO. The one with the highest numbers is not always the best.
You should buy what you like, the NAD and EVO are both good devices.

Okay.
I like all three, I will probably take Cambridge I think it has the best price/quality ratio, even if I have to give up Dirac, but I find the double independent speaker output very useful on Cambridge.

Nad seems like a toy to me, too small considering that it will have to drive Kef R3 Meta or Monitor Audio 89 Cambridge gives me more confidence.....the Rose at the limits of the budget but aesthetically the most beautiful -:)
Thank you very much.

P = U.I = Z.I^2
Same power in same impedance means same current delivery.

Thanks for the explanation.

But why doesn't this M10 V3 specify that it mounts Purifi finals?

In the technical sheet it says only that it uses Hybrid Digital Encore finals (like Nad C399).
Thank you very much.

Nobody said that the M10 v3 uses Purifi amplification. If you want a Purifi based integrated amp from the NAD masters series, that's the M33.
M10 is cheaper, smaller, lower power and the amplification module fitting these requirements is the Hypex NC252MP. Same as the evo150. You have to live with it.

I will probably take Cambridge I think it has the best price/quality ratio, even if I have to give up Dirac
Dirac will make a significantly bigger difference than the negligible/inaudible differences between the NAD and Cambridge that use the same amp modules.

Great guys thank you very much.

I thought the entire Master series mounted the "Purifi"

Considering that M10 V3 also has a better Dac, crossover control for subwoofer output, Dirac, Same power of Cambridge and is a more recent product, also has a better remote control, I really think it is the most sensible choice.......among other things also more resellable in the future.
Thanks again to everyone for the very useful information!

Nice compact streaming amps are perfect everyone’s requirements.

I was desperate to find a perfect match for all my demands (PEQ, streaming capabilities, nice dac, subwoofer out, >100W…) and other than AVRs, these NAD (C700, M10, M33…) and Cambridge Evo where the only chance.

Later on some brands joined (Wiim ultra amp, Marantz M1, Eversolo play…) there is a lot to choose from. And almost every amp is getting an HDMI input or streaming capabilities.

Usually this compact streaming amps are limited to future technologies. DACs improve each year (ESS 9028/9038/9039…), new streaming technologies (WiFi 5/6… Bluetooth 5/6…AirPlay 1/2…) new inputs and outputs (USB-A, USB-C, HDMI 1.4/2.0, I2S…) and these compact amps get old in 3/6 years.

Separates are better suited for future expansions. You can change the DAC, get the latest EQ technology, implement 2 or 4 subs… at this moment you don’t know where are you going to get mad with your sound system.

I started trying to get the answer for every question in the same box, now I enjoy improving my gear by little steps every 6 months. I never thought I was going to get 2 subs, and now I’m happier than ever with them. But they requiere a MiniDSP in order to set them up correctly. At first I thought Dirac would be the better solution but I prefer manual EQ for music listening.

@Miniyouuuu
Thank you so much for the information.

In fact the market is very vast...
Which mini DSP would you recommend? It is interesting as an "alternative" solution considering that I live in Italy and not all brands are available.
Thank you very much and have a good day.

I never use analog fonts. i got the MiniDSP Flex digital.
This version does not have a DAC, it merely introduces the PEQ /Dirac in the digital domain. So you will requiere a separate streamer before the MiniDSP and a DAC after the PEQ.
I have an Apple TV 4K as streamer, and now I’m using my amp internal DAC (ESS 9038 from an Audiolab 9000A). But I plan to buy a new DAC in the following months.

Every step is feasible because of the separate layout I choose. If I’d chosen an all in one solution, I wouldn’t be able to change the DAC, or having 2 independently set up subs.

At this moment the M10 V3 has everything I need (nice DAC, dual sub out with Dirac Bass control, hdmi eARC with CEC…) but you never know how It will answer for future demands. Only alternative solution is using it as a preamp with an external power amp. You don’t even have digital outputs for an external DAC.

@Miniyouuuu
Thank you very much.

Indeed these "All In One" systems are valid but also very binding and closed for any type of upgrade.

Very nice Audiolab 9000A I saw the new 9000P and 9000Q (possibility of putting two 9000P power amps in mono!!!).

An external streamer would not be a problem, I would only have to understand how to configure and use a mini DSP -:)

Thank you very much for the information.

Upgrades could be done easily by changing the preamp. You can buy the M10 v3 (2500$), then upgraded it with an external power amp (+1500/2000$). Then changing the preamp when the M10 gets old.

Some preamps have all you need. You could start with a Bluesound Icon (1200$), an Eversolo A6 ME (1500$) or an A8 (2000$) and any external amp like a dual mono Fosi (2x300$). Later, if you like more power you could change it for a purifi power amp (1500$).

MiniDSP layout introduces even more complexity. It merely solves the PEQ/Dirac implementation. Aforementioned Eversolo preamps have PEQ and Bluesound has the option of Dirac.

In the following months you’ll have Onkyo Icon preamp and amp. Very nice combo.

Audiolab separates 9000P+Q lack PEQ and HDMI. To me that’s crazy for a 2025 gear.

Audiolab 9000A as many other traditional amps have the chance to work as Integrated, preamp only or power amps only. Additionally there is a LINE IN + PRE OUT loop that allows many expansions (dual subwoofers, miniDSP analogue…).

All in one solutions are compact but any upgrade requires to sell the whole equipment and buy the newer.

See you soon and have a nice day.

Seems like the most reasonable option. I would try avoid Eversolo stuff and also NAD/Bluesound.

That Onkyo P80 should have the option to disable the preamp, so someone could just use it with a integrated amp as well. Or just get a poweramp by whatever brand you fancy.

Phono stage , hdmi , Dirac , digital inputs.. no Qronos/MQA crap and a AKM Dac.. I’m considering getting one for my Yanaha AS2200.

You are right.

The market is constantly evolving! This new Ikon series from "onkyo" is really interesting. It would be a good idea to wait and buy the M80 (fantastic vumeters) and for now combine it with the Wiim Ultra, later look for a better Streamer Preamp but always with the display (without a display they are not for me).

@Snoopy :
Can your Yamaha control an active Subwoofer? Is the sound always "cold" as Yamaha usually does, or is it a little warmer/musical?

Last question, do you think it is enough to drive speakers like Monitor Audio 89 or Kef R3 Meta?
Thank you very much for your help.

It is not the NcoreX 500, it is the new NCx252MP, no change in power compared to the NC252MP used by the M10 whatever v.

Ah thanks did not know this module existed :)
Are you sure it is released yet?
