I mostly think the drivers look mediocre, same material as they have in their lower end stuff (which obviously doesn't make it bad either)
Impulse response looks alright though, but frequency response is far from neutral.

I know it's not a speaker but once again a piece of audio gear strikes me as beautiful. As in, when I build my Death Star I want this thing integrated into the control panel:

This whole video style is so far from what I would call a subtle music lover. Very strange and off-putting to me. Probably influenced by trash TV. Is it power freak audio? (I don't know if you can say that in English)

I watched a couple of his videos; I think he's funny. Although largely subjective, I prefer his light hearted approach, where he clearly doesn't take himself too seriously, to that of some of the other, excessively earnest, youtube reviewers out there.

He was very impressed with the Genelec 6040R, designed for the domestic market:

Ultimately, like other subjective only reviewers, not particularly useful in helping you actually select a product, but entertaining.

Yet he pretty much disliked the 8381 that should be worlds better than the small Genelec

Perhaps if you've recently had more coloured, "romantic", hi-fi speakers, ultra neutral pro-audio speakers might seem a little sterile in comparison. However, with speakers this capable, with massive headroom, you could easily flavour to taste with EQ.

On my set-up, I usually listen with a +5dB bass boost:

I am sure they do ... there is no way these speakers measure flat without active EQ, impossible, but yet they are passive

I would agree, as long as the speakers look like speakers the fight is already lost, though they are certain combinations that can work pretty well but they don't look like speakers in the room, more like interior design elements
