Me too. That Rocks! And I am surprised that the Yamaha CA-2010 hasn't been mentioned yet!
Definitely working to the limits of tolerances in wood working. It's cute.
Although I would agree with your assertion, the Apuras do have exquisite craftsmenship in their outers. It is truly a luxury product worthy of LVMH. Now, does it outperform a Buckeye amp? That’s a whole different question!Nahh, a Fiat Multipla in a flowery vinyl wrap is still just a Fiat Multipla
I don't think women are better or worse at seeing through that s¤¤t than men.
Very unique, exotic and esoteric stuff and that's without even knowing what is inside. They were extremely limited edition. Only 2 were ever made. LOL.
The workmanship that went into them was outstanding.
I designed them and commissioned a firm that specialises in creating extremely detailed one-off prototypes to build the enclosure. Big companies would use them to show off concept products at trade shows that would be indistinguishable from what the final mass-produced version would look and feel like.
I'm seeing some late nights of glowing tubes and listening pleasure while admiring the tubes.
That entire series from Teac with the silver, champagne and the golden touch looks great. Inside they are usually pretty good too.I always though these looked very clean (they were pricey, too)... TEAC A-BX10

Indeed - sometimes I am tempted to get one and use it as a power amp...That entire series from Teac with the silver, champagne and the golden touch looks great. Inside they are usually pretty good too.
If and that's a IF one could find a vintage model Teac in that series that would be ace. I've seen the amps with toroidal transformers and well laid out inside. Otherwise there is the newer Teac models. They cost a arm and a leg and I expect that premium to deliver a well finished product.Indeed - sometimes I am tempted to get one and use it as a power amp...
Doesn't TEAC own Esoteric? Yeah gorgeous audio jewels to this day, but I have become too minimalist these days.If and that's a IF one could find a vintage model Teac in that series that would be ace. This is the first I've heard of Esoteric. I imagine that's a tough market to bust into even with the Teac namesake. What's with the horn speakers? Are those Esoteric too? I browsed the websites and found no details.Doesn't TEAC own Esoteric? Yeah gorgeous audio jewels to this day, but I have become too minimalist these days.
I believe you are correct. Looks like they've only been around since 2004.Doesn't TEAC own Esoteric? Yeah gorgeous audio jewels to this day, but I have become too minimalist these days.
I didn't. Was just making an innocent joke that they might sell the device a bit less pricey since they saved on the enclosure. The joke is in the absurdity of that ever happening. Please don't read things into my posts which I don't explicitly state.
Those speakers are Avantgardes from Germany. Esoteric stuff is pretty good technically and insanely well built. This is the first I've heard of Esoteric. This is a sound room! Looks like classy stuff.Avantgardes from Germany.
In small way, yeah. But I see more of Art Deco influence where the material used is accentuated and celebrated.Soviet era brutalism, like buildings?
