No need to even get an engineer's opinion, college level is enough.Watch dem Xperts , X is an unknown Quantity and a pert is a drip under pressure ..
The ONLY diet soda I can stand is diet A&W Root Beer but it has to be very cold as well.Yep. I've sworn off regular soda by necessity, oddly now that I have it also tastes pretty horrid.
"Diet Soda" has nothing whatsoever to offer, certainly not flavor. It's kind of like Buckfast or Malort, only sans alcohol.
I make my own ginger ale. It’s nothing like commercial soda. The ONLY diet soda I can stand is diet A&W Root Beer but it has to be very cold as well.

Peel the ginger, grind it to slaw consistency in a food processor, cover it with water and simmer for half an hour.
Sieve and measure the liquid. Add twice as much sugar as liquid by volume. Bring to a boil.
Result: ginger syrup. Mix with seltzer water to taste. Or use for cocktails.
The pulp can be saved and used in recipes.
It keeps better with more sugar. You can also make the original "ale" from it, by giving yourself a dilute sugar solution and adding champagne yeast and let it sit sealed on the floor for a week. But I prefer the seltzer version, and I use a lot less sugar.
You folks got a lot more ambition than I do, making your own soft (or hard) drinks. You can also make the original "ale" from it, by giving yourself a dilute sugar solution and adding champagne yeast and let it sit sealed on the floor for a week. Rest of world: let me just get a Sonos or some earbuds and get about the rest of my business. You folks got a lot more ambition than I do, making your own soft (or hard) drinks.
Let me just twist or pop a top and get about the rest of my business.

Someone had to add some fizz....especially in the middle of audio discussions...
He likely has hearing loss from all those sessions. His studio work may well be excellent. But how much experience does he have with home audio? If I were running a Nashville studio, I'd be spending evenings I wasn't working the studio out in the clubs.I have a friend who is an audio engineer in Nashville. He ran a famous studio for a long time and has hundreds of album credits.. He thinks this hobby is a joke, honestly. He says the differences in sound reproduction at home is marketing with alot of diminished returns.
Enough about you and your presumptions. Return to topic. He likely has hearing loss from all those sessions. His studio work may well be excellent. Nailed that one to the wall!He could be stone-deaf and still easily be able to observe how people gladly accept whatever fairytale is presented to them without a shred of evidence.
Me too.Oh, I wholeheartedly agree! I only drink water, coffee, milk, and very rarely beer or wine. I haven't drank soda - diet or otherwise - for many years.
Jim
I just knew him from college. I went to school in the south and my buddies all went to Nashville. I wasn't that musically inclined. This particular guy ran all the tech for everything at church, school, etc. He was simply very good with the equipment and was very accomplished. I think it's probably a work thing..like trying to talk to doctors about medicine. He likely has hearing loss from all those sessions. His studio work may well be excellent.
