Would be interested in seeing you test your own to see if theirs really was broken. Oppo is known for quality stuff!

Shoot. I just looked and mine is the 103, not 105...Would be interested in seeing you test your own to see if theirs really was broken. Oppo is known for quality stuff!
it may be a stuck bit
Don't they all still use mechanical relays and flip flops? Well, there's your answer. How, in these days of modern times, can a bit get stuck?
In the good old days with boards full of logic chips, maybe, probably, sure!
But now? Where? How?

Humm, well Oppo is know for expensive, well marketed stuff.«Quality stuff» that measures poorly by both Amir and Archimago (two different DACs).
That, has already been done: https://audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/inside-of-a-premium-blu-ray-player.55/Amir, how about opening your unit up and taking a look at the quality of components, construction, etc. After all, it is just another Chinese man'd product.
True, if it measures poorly maybe it does suck!«Quality stuff» that measures poorly by both Amir and Archimago (two different DACs).
What a bunch a asinine bullschitt,Clearly, without the 'truth' modifications, you can't possibly experience what the Oppo is really capable of...

I'm not going to come down on them as I really don't have the evidence but we have seen and heard this all before.
The proof is always in the pudding, and in just the limited exposure of this thread I have read about both badly measuring and broken examples.
So maybe they're not really all they've been cracked up to be. Amir, how about opening your unit up and taking a look at the quality of components, construction, etc. After all, it is just another Chinese man'd product.
