Yummy, man that would be something. As a DIY, you can dream of that when you now drag your speakers out of the snow and make free-field measurements.
Kef has always been one of my favorite speaker companies.
Would be fun to know in more detail how the calculation programs Kef uses work. Of course nothing Kef will tell, but still.

And the other speakers on show were reference 5s and Blades ( one of which seems/may have a different colour combo than Kef blade1 and Kef blade2s) ( first pic. Gray surround)Did they just leak the new product in the video...?

Looks to me more like an adapter where the microphone is plugged into.
From what I remember from my visit there few years ago they have written the software themselves.Would be fun to know in more detail how the calculation programs Kef uses work. Of course nothing Kef will tell, but still.

Well, sweetchaos started it. LOL. The screenshot shows probably blade speaker with some strange material on the back of uni-q. I thought the whole midrange/tweeter uni-q driver was fully enclosed in the blade (maybe this is a cross-cut view).
It sure looks like some meta-material prototype piece. Maybe I'm just seeing things but every connection appears to be hand soldered. Also, the video seems to have a lot of coverage of blade speakers. Hmmm...
Edit: I just realize that piece on the back has holes for probably some heat extraction which will not allow it to work as metamaterial since it would leak air.

Yeah there was a large amount of shots of the blade, and that was my prebias - that they were next in line for an update. I was thinking they would bring in the unicore tech and meta tech into the blade and make it active. If it's "just" the lsx II then that's a little disappointing to me, but a sign I suppose of where Kef are increasingly focused (i.e. lifestyle products)
By the way, Kef took down the video showing the leaked LSX II.
There's some big spenders here...only wanting the best of the best. But who's going to purchase them?

No they aren’t. Crap software and even crappier support in the US like next to zero. I had the original LS 50 wireless and I’ll never buy anything from Kef again. Same complaints about the LSX from many people.Kef is a great company. In total I did business with KEF for 7 years and it was a pleasure. (This post has been edited. I made a mistake on the years of KEF affiliation. Had a brain crossfire twice.)

Me neither and I agree with you. More production than engineering. Also, no hidden clues this time around.
It seems every time they show us a little more of the same thing. Like a closeup shot of the crossover parts, different angles of an anechoic chamber and etc.
