I am curious to get to some input.

Some ceiling speakers have two directional tweeters with independent stereo input, allowing you to generate a bit of a stereo image from a single speaker position

Imagine having room for four overhead ceiling speakers, with one pair being traditional single channel speakers and the other pair being dual tweeter speakers. The tweeters and woofers can be aimed.

This means you can use a 7.x.6 ATMOS setup output to four speaker locations.

If you are running Dirac, where would you position your Atmos speakers?

For example, do you put the Top Front with the standard single tweeter and then put the stereo rear in between the ceiling middle and rear because our localization is worse behind us?

Do you put the stereo speaker in the position of the Top Front, having it replicate the Top Middle and Top Front and have the Top Rear be the single tweeter model because you can really install the speakers in a physical location that is further back.

Would you just run them as 4 channels of top front and height and just treat the dual tweeter model as a wide dispersion model?

Or would you switch to traditional single tweeter ceiling speakers and just go with a standard 4 ceiling Atmos layout?

What if your sofa is not like the MLP in the diagram but your sofa is against the wall?

With ceiling speakers it’s hard to try and compare since you sort of are stuck once you cut out the holes for the speakers! :)
