Is this a stable release or a beta/test version?

It will take some time, the functions on the device have been developed. But the IOS and Android control applications are still under development. I believe it will be released in about a month.

Lower overall volume enables bigger dynamic peaks without compression.
For example:
A comparison of waveforms (track “Blue Electric Light”) adjusted to -15.6 LUFS integrated clearly shows the impact of limiting dynamics on the stereo version (DR6) vs Dolby Atmos (DR13).
The waveform of the stereo version has a very low dynamic range due to the dynamic limiter used, as confirmed by the graphs below, with a dynamic range from to DR4. The dynamic range lies between DR3 and DR5, depending on the track!
Compared with the Dolby Atmos version downmixed to stereo (DR12).

But I downloaded all those files and played them on my Oppo 203, which btw. could not play back the Atmos wav files as Atmos, but only as 7.1. It is, on the other hand, able to play Peter Gabriel I/O as Atmos from an MKV file, which sounds really great and also is "as loud" as any other stereo track. Just what I´d expect.
But back to Atmos and my "complaint" about low volume.
I compared those files from your links and they sound very similar (stereo to Atmos) in volume. Great! But that´s not, what I experience, when listening to Atmos tracks on Amazon Music. Those are about 15db lower than stereo tracks. On Tidal it was a bit different. Some were as low as on Amazon, others not so much.
No setting on my Cinema 30 or on the Fire Cube gen. 3 could change that.
And I´m still wondering, why Atmos Music is different (or has to be different) to Atmos for movies. Just recently I had listened to 2 movies on Amazon and Netflix in Atmos and both were "as loud" as 5.1 tracks on any other movie.
So the only Atmos problem is Atmos music from Amazon Music or Tidal (not all tracks here).
I´m really hoping for a DMP- A whatever and maybe it can solve the Atmos volume problem. Even, if not, I´d buy it immediately, if it just could play back Atmos.
Right now I´m using HEOS inside the Cinema 30 for everything stereo, Oppo 103/203 for 5.1 and the Fire Cube for Atmos music on Amazon. I just want one device for all that.
The DMP-6 is very impressing, if it just could play Atmos (and hopefully could also show something on a TV screen, which I could use from time to time).

Those files are volume-matched in post to make comparison easier
Specifically, the heavily compressed stereo versions get brought back down to "normal" volume levels, which when compared to the less compressed Atmos versions that way, exposes the loss in dynamics that were sacrificed in the mastering stage for the sake of higher loudness (for social media, radio etc.)
That means that, as you've experienced yourself, these files do not reflect the actual user experience when switching between Stereo and Atmos in their Streaming App.
But the problem - in practice - is that even with my Cinema 30 I cannot get Atmos music tracks from Amazon Music/Fire Cube gen.3 loud enough. With all other source material I could get the music so loud that my house would brake down.
So I actually don´t get the reason for that low volume. CDs, SACDs (stereo or 5.1), DVD Audio (stereo or 5.1) , Atmos for movies ....and so on and so on....sound really good, loud and with lots of dynamic. Actually any source material sounds really good, except Atmos music, which is low volume and sounds as if it had no bass, no matter how loud I turn the Cinema 30.
Then I listen to Gabriel´s I/O in Atmos from an MKV file and it sounds phenomenal. Listening to that same music on Amazon Music (also in Atmos) sounds like crap in comparison, low volume and with less bass, just "anemic".

It could just be a broken implementation on the Marantz.
I don´think so, because you can read in many forums that Amazon Music Atmos is about 15 db lower than everything else. If something´s broken, then it´s either in how the Fire TV sticks and Cubes work or in the Amazon Music app....or in the way Amazon is producing their Atmos tracks.

Look for a media player from the parent company, Zidoo UHD8000. It’s an 8K media player (excellent PQ) which have a high end DAC chip with XLR outs for hi-fi.
Similar to an Eversolo it’s capabld of streaming hi-res lossless music from Apple Music, but goes further to play Dolby Atmos music.
Not sure Amazon Music, but if Apple Music can I don’t see why not with other providers.
Myself I only bought the Z3000, similar capability but without a dedicated DAC. Dolby Atmos music will have to use HDMI anyway so I use it to play my 4K UHD blu-ray backup files and Dolby Atmos music, I still use the Eversolo for hi-fi stereo music.
Dolby Atmos music is another level for me, really immersive without being intrusive liks multi-channel stereo upmixer, don’t like that at all.
I thought about that option, too. But I still would prefer something like a DMP-A6, just because its design is so darned good and I love that touch screen on the front.
Maybe @mirror88 can confirm, wether the new 8K devices can play Amazon Atmos music?!?
Btw. can those devices play Amazon Prime video and Netflix or "only" files from local networks?

It is a problem with the FireTV cube. I have the same issue. Atmos Music has to be turned way up. Using the Amazon Music app on my phone, Atmos tracks play with a more normal volume.
Do you mean the Amazon Music Atmos tracks play at normal volume, when listening to them on your phone or when selecting them on your phone and casting them from the Android´s Amazon app to the Cube?
Btw., if I try to stream them from the Amazon app on my Android phone to the Cube, that´s totally impossible. In this case the Cube just skips all Atmos tracks, until it finds a stereo track.
The Atmos tracks play at a normal volume on my phone using the app. I have not tried casting it to the Cube.
