E1DA Cosmos ADC

About measurements, I wonder if you wouldn't have more success by building a full measurement gig, in a 1U 19" rack.
DAC, relay Attenuator, Notches, Preamp, ADC...
All with patch connections... and 2 pairs of XLR in and out...
Also a stupid phase change circuit, to differentiate distortion from the DAC from the distortion from ADC...

You could probably charge around $1000 for that, if performance and usability is up to the task...
And you basically have all the building parts already...

there are MELF resistors with the standard color marking, so you can find Cosmos ADC teardown thread and read resistors' values.
Wow, I purchased two devices from you and you are too lazy to provide some basic data, are you serious o_O ?
If you don't want to put it into a thread, you might as well send a pm.

2pi, please be reasonable and imagine yourself in IVX's place. IVX probably has many hundreds of customers and already contributes significant time to this forum and the Discord server. Customers should not expect a single-man company to provide detailed responses to questions that can readily be resolved with a little investigative effort.

.... and more, input impedance of the different resistor settings is in fact provided in the product main page. There is a question who is in fact lazy ;).

Yes, indeed, so you may deduct
R1 320
R3 180
R6 330
R8 910
R12 5890
(Unless I did a mistake...
Except for the first and last ones, the order is of course just a guess )

And for 1 phase
1.7V: R1
2.7V: R1+R3
3.5V: R1+R6
4.5V: R1+R3+R6
6.7V: R1+R8
7.6V: R1+R3+R8
8.5V: R1+R6+R8
10V: R1+R3+R6+R8
And
43V: R1+R3+R6+R8+R12
(And the corresponding resistors for the other phase)

...To be honest, I never saw such a request to show any detail regarding schematic/code for another manufacturer...
That's surprising, since customers ask for the schematics (and even the PCB layouts) for our products frequently.

I remember diyadio.com thread where former AP staff said that Bruce the owner prohibited to public any tech details regarding AP SYS2*** and newer, so you can see only SYS1 from 1989 i.e. 33 years ago released. My Cosmos ADC was released 10 months ago and BTW performs lower THD+N than AP SYS2*** ;)

PS: in our discord some guy asked for the Matlab code for RIAA biquad implementation for his minidsp, this is not my product at all but I gave him screenshot first but he did ask the code, and I gave the code as a txt in the discord but some symbols combinations was deleted by the discord txt engine. So the code showed some errors when the guy run it. The guy asked me 3rd time the code as a file, and I didn't give him the answer any more. Here is the same, if someone really need to know the resistors value, pls tell me why? I already gave the input impedances for all the sensitivity settings, why need to know these resistors values numbers? Anyway, I referred to the neighbor thread named "Comos ADC teardown" where is shown all resistors with color codes, need just take a look that's it. To show the values I need to prepare a surogate schematic because I don't like to show entire schematic for the product.

Guys, I have an interesting and I bet unexpecting update for the Cosmos ADC ;) I found that just by the new FW is possible to expand the sampling frequency up to 768kHz. However, the modulation noise isn't as cool as at 384k but quite Ok for the frequency response tests up to 380kHz, with the correction file in REW(the analog input response is limited by the 1st ord LPF at 180kHz). To get 705k and 768k Fs work Windows needs Comtrue ASIO installed, that's a weird installation method found by our dear StaticV3(pls search the cosmos in our discord channel). Mac, Linux, and Android users should have no problem. The FW contains DSP RIAA as well, so don't be surprised if at the middle of the volume slider you'll get the RIAA EQing ;) Min Volume = STEREO, Max = MONO, as usual.

IVX: Have you tested the stock UAC2 driver with REW wasapi exclusive?

Nice! A bit limited by the modulation at higher frequencies. Can we expect a future FW update to fix this? ;)

My REW has no WASAPI at all, Java and ASIO only.
