Consider to Upgrade my DT770. I also have Grado 225E
Current candidates are DT 1990/DT1770/Amiron.
Listening to all kinds of music
Have read a lot on internet. + youtube

Dt1990 too analytic?
DT 1770 is a better chose for Music listening?
Amiron are more smooth? And the best Choice?
Amiron altso have possibilety for balanced cabel. Many amps today have balanced and Jack output. Balanced output always have the best spec.
Has the Modi/Magni stack.

Should I go for Amiron?

DT1770 is closest to DT770. See it as a higher quality DT770.
DT1990 with B pads is sligthly less warm/bassy compared to Amiron Home.
DT1990 with A pads is closer to Grado (bass shy and sharp sounding).

Balanced will have no benefits for high impedance headphones unless the amp in question is a portable device.

I like thight bass.not bleeding and rumbling bass. Have tryed meze classic. Don’t like them at all.returned to dealer.
Already have Grados.maybe 1990 is to bright?
Amirion have more plastic than DT’s and looser clamp (joshua valour)
Maybe DT 1770 is right choise for me.
Xlr output on amps always measures better and have more power than jack.so that will be a benefit on Amiron?

Don’t need isolation. Only use them at home. Have DT770 if I need isolation.
Harder to change pads on amiron? (joshua valour)

I like thight bass.not bleeding and rumbling bass.

Then only DT1770 will be closest in stock form and don't want EQ.
You can 'tune' the bass by partially blocking a port on the outside.
Why would you have to change pads often (unless studio usage).
When fitting new Beyer pads they are always hard to put them on. After that (once stretched) it is easy.

My old DT990 (about 30 y.o.) only had a pad change once after many many years.
Sennheiser pads suffer from the same problem.
Koss KSC75 pads are the worst. They fall apart after a few years.

Yes, also on DT1990 and DT1770.
There is a fix for this.

The DT1770 with pleather pads doesn't have as much as a sibilance problem. Instead treble isn't really soft and pleasant but a bit coarser.
I have modified mine, partly sealed the ports and use velours DT770 (grey) pads and a treble filter (see link) this improves treble quality but the peak is more obvious.
No EQ needed in this case the upper treble roll-off isn't audible to me.. there is still plenty of 'air'.

The DT770 pads are somewhat different from the DT1770 velours pads.
Seeing that you own the DT770 you can just slap those on to try.

Amiron wireless copper. No issues with SSS or pretty much anything. Probably the best Beyer that needs nothing special to work and sound right.

I'm just saying that as i had all of them. Traded em all and now i am content with the T5 3rd gen with pad swap.
Amiron Wireless sounded the most inoffensive and overall "nice". That is to my ears of course.
Objectively 1990 would be technically the best. For myself i found that that is not always desirable to listen to crammed in details with no end.
If you have tubes - you can experiment with the Amiron Home and they are also quite resolving if you look for detail. They do not cram it in your skull however.
1770 is great, if you like a ton of bass. Problematic treble though. Could not listen to them for long periods. S is quite sparkly.
