DT1770/DT1990 or Amiron?

Recived my amiron today.Nice cans
Nice bass.was terrible when i listen in the hifi store.(too boomy) Detailed. Great build.
But a bit dark. Mids and highs are very well.not bright at all.
Works well with my magni3.

There still something magical with Grado.
Probly selling mine Dt770.

You need some time to adjust to the sound signature (the thing people call burn in ). Try not to A-B with other cans for a few days.

Sure, just check output impedance. The farther away from 0 it is - the better.

Have listen to my amiron a few hours.
Compared with DT 770,maybe a little bit more transparent.
Not sure if they are worth the money.
DT 770-250 are realy good for the money.

DT770 are more 'bassy' and neutral (with fake detail treble) where the Amiron is 'warmer' and more subdued in clarity with sizzly treble up top.

Keep my new amiron on my wall
Now i have enough headphones. Maybe i sell dt770. But they sounds good for the price.great as backup.
Consider too buy a portable amp/dac.
Magnis power is perfect for beyer 250ohm.
Hard to find something affordible portable with the same power. Maybe i should buy a dx3 pro instead. Easyer to move around in the house.

The Amiron was renamed to Amiron Home after the Amiron Wireless came out.
There are cosmetic differences between Amiron Wireless and Amiron Wireless Copper.
The 'Grover' is Amiron Home but with balanced cable option. Just like the 'Miles' is a home+A20 amp combo.

Beyer is doing the same thing with Amiron as with the DT770, 880 and 990 series.
The same 'name' is used for different variations.

There is also a difference in the stock clamp between the Amiron Wireless and Amiron Wireless copper - the copper has more clamp out of the box.
Also the pads are slightly different between the Amiron and Amiron wireless and waaaaaaay more expensive for the wireless.

I have no knowledge of an Amiron Special Edition ? unless they mean the Amiron Wireless Copper.
Beyerdynamic has no info on this.
The Amiron Wireless is sometimes called Amiron Wireless Black.

If you see the pic. A guy mean earlier versions have another sound. With more treble. 5000 and above sound better? are there diffrent version tesla drivers? newer,better?mine are 08xxx

Unlikely ... but who knows if they had a stealth refresh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
