Theoretically can a fuse affect the sound quality ?

For example :

Only in a digital way.

(On or off!)

Ah, Synergistic Research... one of the biggest scams in audio.
IIRC when they first started selling fuses they were just normal fuses with their (SR) label on them, which could be peeled back....wonder if the same now.

Look sceptics may scoff at this, but I swear by the transformative power of these magic audiophile marvels. Music comes alive with a newfound vibrancy... highs sparkle, mids resonate and lows rumble with depth. It’s as if the performers themselves are in my living room.

In the pursuit of sonic perfection surely cost is trivial to those who understand? You're missing out as these fuses aren’t just upgrades, they’re gateways to audio nirvana. /s

It can. If it blows, there will be no sound
Well, Not always :) slightly 'off-topic' but, ......
I remember many years ago, touring with John Mayall and the bass player in the band was initially from Canned Heat.
He was using a bass Rig that used a particular type of Australian designed and built Solid State Power Amp and during setup at a gig, one channel blew one of it's internal Rail fuses, which caused that channel to produce a truly unique and quite wonderful sound, very reminiscent of that awesome 'Fuzz Bass' sound used on a number of Beatles songs.
He liked the effect so much, we ended up keeping the Amp' like that and incorporated an A-B switch, so he could switch between the Good channel and the 'Fuzz' channel :):D

I did blow a fuse once in a Cary SLI 80 tube amp blasting Rage Against the Machine. I thought I blew out a driver on the speaker. I replaced the fuse for $5 for a few of them if I remember right.

It must have an impact. Some of the top enthusiasts here are even serious about the source of power.

Some people like nuclear power, they say it sounds very powerful.
Others prefer hydroelectric power, which they say sounds more infectious.
There are even super enthusiasts who love lightning!
