Of course it can!

* if the fuse grain is in the wrong direction, it may block energy flow, resulting in less dynamics

* if not cryogenically treated, the fuse may run warmer than it would otherwise, resulting in non-neutral sound.

* the fuse body must be made of triple-ply magical ceramic sheets so as to ensure no loss of electrons & positrons traveling to the power supply.

Only by the wife, tho....

It would be interesting to conduct a study. How important is the wife (SO) feedback loop to controlling runaway expenditures by audiophiles? Are single male audiophiles more prone to over-invest in audio ephemera than attached ones?
