Buckeye Amps case changes

Thanks. The website will require higher quality pictures. Any quick cell phone shots you can share? Also any ideas on if/when the Purifi 1ET400 x3 might move to a Micro Audio PS?
I'll take some later today.

No ETA on the micro audio for Purifi

I guess you re using L shape models and you plan to move to U shape one and triying to remove those side screws ?

No we've always been using U Shaped.
Side screws are now recessed (flush).

Ok that is the major improvement ? Design will be the same so ?

The biggest change is better quality binding posts and a more attractive top vent cutout pattern.

I never said anything was going to be a major improvement in the OP.

Thanks for your sincerity.

As asked, quick pictures of the major changes to the case.

Good News!

We have been able to make an agreement with our case manufacturer to start allowing custom powder coating finishes again.

Will the color options for a custom powder coated finish be the same as before ?

The one thing that i've been holding out for is a smaller case. Mainly in Depth.
I think an amp that is able to fit on a 12" shelf would be ideal for a lot of people.

Two ideas i came up with:

1. .......

2. ......

Please let me know your thoughts.

Buckeye still leading the pack in product depth:

Brand w252 --- W x D x H
Buckeye --------7.00 x 13.0 x 3.50
VTV------------- 8.00 x 11.0 x 3.25
Apollo-----------10.0 x 9.25 x 2.75
IOM------------- 8.25 x 8.25 x 2.25

I'd really appreciate an explanation as to why Buckeye is not able to source a smaller case from Protocase.

Here are a few pics of the ones mentioned above:

Because we use the same case for the NC502 and NC252, with our input board adding about 2" to the depth needed inside the case vs. other configurations on the market sans an input board along the back.

Now, we could make the case wider then it is deep and turn the module sideways, but not everyone likes that configuration, either.
With the current config, two (2ch) amps can easily fit next to each other on a standard 17" wide shelf.

As has been since Day 1, we will never be able to please everyone.

I forgot that the home theater market is massive compared to stereo music listeners!
Makes sense that they could benefit from narrower width to fit more units side-by-side.

Now, we could make the case wider then it is deep and turn the module sideways,

I'd like that! ;-)

I have always liked trying to keep as much of our amps "homegrown" as possible (aside from the obvious internals that are manufactured elsewhere).

I appreciate this approach and it was a factor in choosing to order from you today. Looking forward to swapping in the 252!

In other threads Buckeye Amps said that they couldn't easily offer Speakons ?sp? because it meant having two different cases.

What about creating a sub-panel that could be switched / customized? So you'd have a single large cutout for the plate?

Honestly its a silly idea that comes from a lack of coffee in the morning.
